It pains me to say it, but maybe by accepting that fact I can stop getting my hopes up that he's gonna start leading this country in a strongly progressive, rather than a pragmatic, communitarian, bipartisan direction that often runs counter to what liberals want. Obama is not unique in this. He's not the only Democratic president who was not a liberal. But have we ever had a strongly progressive president in, say, the last 50 years? Ok, 60 years. Since FDR? In my lifetime, I don't think so. Is it out of the realm of possibility for the US to have a liberal president? Or have I been waiting all my life for something that will never be?
Liberal, socialist, Communist... I've never seen a difference among the three.
That's why I often use "liberal/socialist/communist/democrat/satan's soldier/Little Goon" when writing about their ilk.
I've always thought of liberals as communists without balls :clueless:
That acronym would be a bitch to write . . . LSCDSSLG . . .
Liberalism, socialism, communism, fascism, they're all different flavors of same stale, primitive, regressive, ancient idea: statism. The struggle is between personal liberty and enslavement to a looting, dictatorial state.
