Jersey Shore
« on: December 05, 2009, 05:19:30 PM »
WTF?  Holy crap these kids need their Italian grandfathers to get up and beat the living crap out of them, girls and boys!  The boys look like total douchebag homos and the girls are all nasty skanky girls.  It is like a house filled with herpes, hair gel, fake tan, and sewage.  It made me much more inkredubly stoopiodur to watch it.

Please oh please oh please do NOT let my kids think this is how people of Italian heritage are supposed to act in public. :bawl: :thatsright:

Is this a TV show, or did you actually go to Jersey?

I have to deal with Eye-talians and other Yankee douchebags at work.  I ****in' hate them.  I'd rather deal with the Singhs and Patels any day of the week.

A show on MTV.  I had to see why the Italian groups were so pissed off about it.

Having been to the Jersey Shore, it sounds like it might not be too far off the mark........it's pretty tacky.....

No kidding.  You literally have to bleach your TV out or it will come down with a case of the clap!

As some of the people who commented on it on TV have said, and as I can attest after living in Jersey, yes, this subculture really does exist.  I can understand why the Italian-American organizations are pissed, but I can't say the program is portraying something that isn't true to life.

When I worked in Ameritech/SBC's call center we would all cringe when the name Patel came up on the screen.

I worked with a guy named Patel, he'd order a Big Mac without the meat patty.   Last I heard he'd bought a Taco Bell franchise.
