Palin Mainstreams the Birthers
« on: December 04, 2009, 04:19:00 PM »
From Rick Moran at Pajamas Media, December 4, 2009

Quote
I didn’t want to write about Sarah Palin anymore.

Really, I didn’t want to. God, I didn’t want to. But every time I think I’m out, she pulls me back in.

Face it, my friends. If Sarah Palin’s nugatory understanding of everything from foreign affairs to economic matters doesn’t cause you concern, if her predilection to expand, exaggerate, or fudge the truth about herself and her past statements hasn’t yet convinced you that she is a lightweight prevaricator and doesn’t deserve your support, then this exchange with conservative talker Rusty Humphries should change your mind:

If she is a lightweight, what do you call a dummie like Obama who is nothing but a shuck and jive community organizer.

Rick Moran might hate Palin. He's way over the top at times.

I don't hate Palin. I just find many of her supporters to be quite irrational.

I find irrational posts that are clearly anti-conservative, with no substance, statement or purpose to be completely irrational. That's just me.

I think it's irrational for a democrat to pose as a conservative on a conservative site and not expect to be unveiled.  Especially when he posts irrational comments about a conservative public person that is well liked amoung her base...

Maybe I'm being irrational?

I'm a lifelong Republican and I've always voted Republican. I don't believe she will run for president, but if she does - and wins the nomination, I'll vote for her.

That questions wasn't really a question...I forgot to include the smiley. :thatsright:

But you're all over the place...you obviously hate her, but then you say you'll vote for her... :mental:

Yeah, conservatism is such an "over the top" concept.  And if you want irrational supporters, the Ron Paul forums are thataway---->

being republican has nothing to do with being a conservative. Which is clear by your posts.

Golem,

I won't go far as to say that you hate Palin, but based on the tone of most of your posts here, it is seems that you don't really like her.

What in particular do you dislike about her?

I really don't dislike her. I want her to make plenty of money writing books, making personal appearances, etc. My argument has always been with her more fanatical supporters. If you're not one of them, then you shouldn't be offended by my comments.

Palin's statement on Facebook

Is Rusty Humphries still around? I used to listen to him when he was local in Reno then one day he was whining that he had to work on leap day in 2000 after that I thought the guy was a putz.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Well, you haven't exactly been very clear on what you mean when you say her fanatical supporters.  I like her views and what she stands for as far as conservatism goes.

Perhaps myself and others would better understand your point if you were to convey a few examples of words or actions from her so called fanatical supporters.

So because people call you out on your bias and threads w/o (frankly) purpose, everyone is a "fanatical Palin supporter?"  Really?

Interesting choice of user names.   A golem is an artificial person, made of non human materials.

So what is he saying about himself with that user name?
An optimist sees the glass as half full, a pessimist sees the glass as half empty, an engineer sees that there is twice the glass required to contain the beer
