Crime, forgiveness, and good news on a number of levels

So, last June, a guy tries to rob a store. The owner gets the drop on him. The would-be bad guy falls to his knees and begs forgiveness. He gives a sob story about trying to feed his family. The store owner, forgives the guy, gives him $40 and a loaf of bread. The robber leaves.

A few weeks ago, a letter shows up at the store. In it is a note of apology, an acknowledgment that the store owner's kindness turned the man's life around, and a fifty dollar bill.

Read the story. It is good on so many levels.
