Oh my.

One suspects my fellow alum Skins is readying for another Great Purge, that of the anti-war primitives.  Wait, and see if I'm not right.

If you don't agree with Obama's Afghan troop escalation - why did you vote for him??

He's been saying he was going to do this all along and you all supported him throughout.

Don't blame the supporters of the troop escalation for Obama's decision or somehow insinuate we're warmongers and should all enlist.

You should go enlist and you're just as much of a war supporter as any of the rest of us because you voted Obama into office.

Try doing one of two things please, either admit that you don't fully understand the circumstances behind Afghanistan but you trust Obama is doing what is best for the country and support him or shut the hell up and look in the mirror. If you didn't want the surge you shouldn't have voted for it...and yes, you DID vote for it.

It's a big bonfire, so only the PoP:

this isn't rocket science. I voted for him DESPITE his Afghanistan position, not because of it. I didn't forfeit my right to criticize him.

BUT....I will give Obama the 18 months he's looking for to achieve a ground situation that will allow for the withdrawal plan to be implemented.

38. Given the choices available to all of us at the time:

John McSame and NitWit Palin vs. Obama/Biden...I suppose a lot of people picked the lesser of two evils if they didn't support war.

I just find it interesting the promises Obama made that he's kept so far vs. the promises he hasn't kept. Do some research on that and see what turns up.

76. His support for a continutation of Bush's policies in Afghanistan was a deal breaker for me.

But, I respect the people who did vote for him in hope that he had more sense and ethics to do so.

It is kind of funny seeing the peacenicks crying about this. Once again if they actually payed attention they would have noticed Obama was for the Afghan war and possibly going into pockastahn. A year or so later they act all shocked.
I won't bash Obama for sending more troops I will criticize the timeline and taking so damn long to decide. Unlike the DUmmies I hope his plan works and saves lives even if it means Obama gets the credit the outcome of this war is much more important than politics. Sadly though I do not believe Obama will put politics aside long enough to win this.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

If Skimmer whacks the vocal anti-war DUmmies, it'll be a purge of Stalinesque proportions.
I guess it depends on whether his DNC support offsets the lost DUmmy donations. The argument against a purge is that this anti-war outcry is a fleeting cause du jour. Remember two or three weeks ago it was all healthcare all the time. Two weeks in the future it may be cap and tax, or queer marriage, or mandatory unionization, with nary a word about the war. DUmmies have attention spans of less than a blink.

What the hell is dadt?

I think it's "Don't Ask Don't Tell," the Clinton-era policy on homosexuals in the military.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

What they are saying is that they thought O was just saying that stuff to appear moderate so the mushy middle would vote for a fraud.

This primitive is using the same "logic" all the primitives used when Bush was in office, but now they don't like it so much when used against them.  Anyone surprised by this?  And despite their cries otherwise, saying it is Bush's war and Dear Leader is just cleaning it up is no justification for suddenly deciding that the war in Afghanistan is now A-OK.

This nitwit is an Obama cheerleader extraordinaire.  After 18 months when Dear Leader invents another excuse to pacify the kooks, she'll gladly have his back.
