Police: Suspect dead; had slain cop's gun
« on: December 01, 2009, 01:47:43 PM »

The suspect in Sunday's fatal shooting of four police officers was shot and killed early Tuesday in south Seattle after he challenged an officer who approached him, authorities said.

Maurice Clemmons was carrying a weapon taken from one of the dead officers and had suffered a bullet wound to his abdomen in Sunday's shooting, Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer said at an early morning news conference....

Four people are in custody and another 2 - 3 people are expected to be arrested later today for helping accused cop killer Maurice Clemmons elude authorities for two days.

Troyer said Clemmons' family and friends gave him first aid, money and a cell phone. He said they also made arrangements for him to get of of Washington state. He said  they did whatever they could to "throw wrenches" into the investigation by giving "misdirections" to investigators.

"They will pay for it," said Troyer.

It amazes me that they would still hinder his apprehension after what he's done.

WTF is wrong with these people!?!? :thatsright:  Throw their asses in jail for the rest of their stupid worthless lives!

If the prosecutor or judge isn't a limp-dick liberal, there's a good case for it.  I've always been of the understanding that accessories to the crime are just as guilty of the crime as the trigger-man.  First case I ever saw that contradicted that was actually a couple of years ago here in Colorado.  (State Supreme Court overturned a death penalty sentence for a chica who was wheel-man for her boyfriend when he went over to an ex-girlfriend's house to steal some stuff back from her and wound up killing ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend when they objected.)

Seems odd that family members would help him evade capture when they knew he wasn't in his right mind.

If this asswipe were prosecuted, the Liberals would have had a field day blaming all of this on racism and how the system failed his poor soul.

The libs will just bash the cop that shot him, and Obama will say he acted stupidly.

At least it's infinitely more difficult to have a 'beer summit' with a corpse.
