bad news from Chief S itting Bull

Uh-oh.

But it's the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive's own fault.

I'm back from the hospital yet again. I had a dang stroke, if you can believe that.

Yeesh.

In other words, the internal bleeding was in my brain this time as well as other places...still no determination of why my blood keeps getting so thin.

Probably little permanent damage, but I have to start therapy (and lots of it) next week.

The hits just keep on coming, don't they?

The hits keep coming because Chief S itting Bull, rather than being mellow and laid-back about things, especially those things one can't change, gets all upset and bent out of shape.  Hatred can wreak havoc on a physical body, too.

23. Just stop that right now!

Glad you are ok, please listen to the dr and be better. or else. (idle, vague threat)

One wonders if the primitives are aware of how much each of their lives resembles those timeless medieval morality plays.

One wishes Chief S itting Bull well, but at the same time one is skeptical that it will get better, until the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive undergoes some sort of life-changing experience that purges him of his "attitude."

Chief S itting Bull like an ass hangs doggedly onto his Hates, his anger, his bitterness, his contempt for all that is good and decent, his intolerances, his prejudices, and his relentless rage, and that hurts rather than helps.

What else can one say?

How does RS KNOW what happened.  I would think you would need to go to a hospital to find out something like that........

Not possible.  Every DUmmie knows you can't go to the hospital unless you have nationalized health care.  Funny how many of them have hospital stories though ....

Part of his problem likely stems from illegal and controlled substances, and alcohol. Remember, he was best buds with TiTtyboy.

Wow. I feel bad for Redstone and wish him a full recovery.

On the plus side, it is good to hear that he actually has a brain. I had always assumed that the members of DU were similar to the scarecrow on the Wizard of Oz when it came to that particular organ. I wonder if all the DU members actually have brains. If so, why do they refuse to use them?

Normally, I would have sympathy.

But because Chief S itting Bull does this to himself, I have no sympathy.

One wishes the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive to get well, of course, but at the same time one isn't too sympathetic to self-destruction.

Sorry Frank I disagree with you.

People do not come to the point of self distruction all by themselves.  There are other forces out there that have to be taken into account.

I had a friend that commited sucide at the age of 26,  She worked with me and I regret not acting on the signs of a really unstable person, I just excepted her as she was  This woman and her husband were a strange couple.

This woman was so wierd and totally shuned by other workers I felt sorrow for her and tried to befriend her.

I cannot do as Frank can with his discriptions of people but I will try.

She was about 5' tall and weighed a good 40 pounds over weight. Her hair was scraggley and looked greasy, her finger nails knawed to bloody stubs.   Her choice of clothing lasted 3 days with the stains of 2 days before on them.

We knew from day one that she was unusual.  She delighted in news that a co-worker was fired, In fact, she lived to drag someone into the office for the slighest thing. She had nothing good to say about her family, felt they had betrayed her.  Her syblings had recieved gifts from the family but she had gotten nothing.  ETC,ETC.

This was the first and only demented person I have ever known.

True dementia is a shock to us in todays world, but I found myself facinated with her, instead of helping her--if anyone could, I sat back and marvaled at this strange person.

I knew her husbands famiy, a strong Yankee family that went way back--he was adopted.

He was a bit of an odd fella himself, he had a phobia against brushing his teeth and needed acknologment for working in the comunity.   He only volenteered for work if he was photographed in the local news paper.

Biggest problem either ran into at work was the smell.  Both extruded this odor that was noxious.

I at the time wondered if that smell came from overwelming fear. it seemed to come and go as the day went on.

To this day we who knew her have a hard time accepting a sucicide in her death, she was too darn selfish and wierd to off herself, she  as she was terrified of guns not known how to take the safty off or place the barrel in her mouth.

After 18 years there is still the guilt that perhaps if I had done or said anything dirrerent would she be alive today .?

Self disturction does not just involve the individual, it includes all people in their family and impacts us who knew the person in one way or the other.

45. I was just thinking of you last night...you can bet your last dollar that Mrs R is indeed taking the best care possible of me, going WAY beyond the call of duty. I owe her big.

Don't worry; I'm not stumbling around (even though the cane is no longer optional) with a drooping half-face and garbling like someone with half a jawful of Novocaine, thank whatever powers or whatever saved me from being in that condition.

But you'd notice if you talked to me on the phone; I have to carefully consider each phrase before I speak it, and still lose a word or two in the middle.

This is ****ing weird - it's like being drunk and hungover at the same time. My thinkng is as lucid as it's ever been (insert truthful "Ha" comment here); it's just suddenly difficult to get those thoughts out to the outside world especially with such lame typing and having to go back and correct eight times more than usual.

20 minutes to type and correct this. But what the hell, we all want life to slow down, don't we?

Sometimes (actually pretty much all the time) we dont't GET a choice.

I gotta stop tryig to type now. Thanks for being such a good friend.
