Ahem.

Undefeated and 4th ranked TCU 30, New Mexico 10 at the half.

Early in the 2nd Quarter, New Mexico had negative yards of total offense.

The Frogs have been a little sloppy, but 30 minutes away from a perfect regular season.

I noticed that.

But for the l-o-n-g-e-s-t time, the score was New Mexico 0, Texas Christian 2.

I wondered if anything was ever going to happen, because that was a very long time in between scoring.

Pessimist.

I can recall some games where Nebraska was leading Oklahoma by a couple of touchdowns, with circa three minutes to go.....and Oklahoma won.

Of course, the classic was the Harvard-Yale game of 1968; with 2:28 left to go, Yale was leading Harvard 28-14.

Harvard won that game, 31-28.

Missouri-Kansas now underway.

The game is in Missouri, but for some reason Kansas is the "home" team.

It must be that "neutral" site nonsense again.

Anyway, Missouri-Kansas is the second longest-running rivalry in college football, after only Lehigh-Lafayette in Pennsylvania.

According to both the Big 12 records and Kansas records, the series is 55-53-9, in favor of Kansas.

According to the Missouri records, the series is tied, 54-54-9.

Probably because of machine politics down in Missouri, there's a dispute about records Missouri-Nebraska, too.

I wondered about that myself, but I'm "seeing" the games text-wise, and not in pictures, and can only imagine what something looks like.

And I had problems trying to imagine this scenario.
Why don't you watch games on TV? Deafness would be an advantage when they have announcers like Pam Ward or Brian Griese.

Until this year, I had the sound turned off on Monday Night Football for the past several years.

This is the Sandhills of Nebraska.

Without cable, no reception; even outdoor antennas aren't enough.

For $35 a month, there's a lot better uses for the money.

Well, now, I'm confused.

I was always under the impression Mississippi was the better university, the more-prestigious one.
