But the deal is, there's 57-58 other Democrats who'd bend over first.....and then last of all, Ben.
But he'll probably bend over sooner or later; one hopes, very badly, this drags out for a long time, for amusement if no other purpose.
From what I understand, Senator Joe Lieberman is adamantly opposed to the bill, but merely for the
costs that would be foisted on the American people in the midst of a
depression recession. So, the Obamessiah's handlers are working on the Senators from Maine--Olympia Snowe, who said that the public option
must be out of the bill; and my fellow alum Susan Collins (yes, she graduated from the same institution of higher learning that Martha MacCallum of FNC and I graduated from--several years earlier).
The thing is, on Hannity's radio program yesterday, Mitch McConnell said that the Republicans could have the bill read--all 2,000+ pages of it--
every time an amendment is offered. If
that happens, this monstrosity will
never get through, and our economy will be saved.
