5. I've been meaning to post this exact same thought. In my time-wasting response to the "I don't want to pay for___________________, (Insert "health care of some loser, immigrant, Muslim, etc.," "abortions," "smutty so-called art," "godless public education," etc.) I have always written that I don't want to pay for an overinflated military budget used to fund pointless weapons, wars of choice, war profiteers, etc. I've always been curious as to why this is so seldom a point I see made by other progressives.
