You know something... as heavy as I am... and at a tiny bit over 6'2"... I have no folds. The Free Lipo Clinics might turn me down, dang.
Saddest thing I ever saw was a friend that was knock down gorgeous. She being 50 pounds over weight carried herself like a model. She could knock the sox off the rest of us skinny Minnie's,
She was a delightfull woman, her husband loved her just the way she was.
Before her Hubby went to sea for 6 months his parents came from out of state to visit and all Hell broke out. She didn't really know his family too well and had been blessed with 8 or years of marriage by only seeing them perhaps 3 times before, lots of uneasy phone calls and a few odd letters but that was about it. ---no kids---.
I road the tide with her as my Hubby was on the same boat and as we military wives do, we helped each other out.
. That MIL should have been Keel Haled, all she did was make remarks about my friends weight right to her and their sons face. She went so far as to bring old photos of her son and some of the girls he dated in highschool, all thin and trim. She actually had the nerve to come alone to my house and beg me to [help] her sons wife loose weight so her son would be proud of her. It did not help that her father-in-law had nothing to say but good things about her. That woman was so jealous of my friend she was driving everyone nuts.
They went home and the boat sailed.
My friend went on a weight loss campaigned for dummy's, First thing we noticed was she was loosing her cheerfull attitude, she became obsessed with diets and food. She began to run around housing 2 or 3 times a day, stopped visiting us girls in case we had make the kids cookies or were drinking a soda.
She lost weight way too fast, we would visit her and found she had started smoking, she became cranky, never heard her say a bad word about anyone, now she found fault with everyone.
Month after month as the fat left her body her hair began to look dry and brittle, her skin on the face lost that wonderful glow, and wrinkles began to appear.
Her health that had been perfect despite her weight before began to cave in, she was malnutrition to the max.
In 6 months she lost 40 pounds and looked like hell. She was a nervous wreck, had lost her sense of humor and become a dried up miserable person.
She was a mess, when we met the guys flying in from Holeylock, we all about gasped at what she had done to herself. My Hubby was her Hubby's Chief and heard more about went on then I did. Her poor husband came home to a complete stranger.
Moral of this story is that when people are happy with their lives, and try to change it to gain approval of others, the life they left will be gone, the new life may not make you happy. Gain or loose anything but only if what you are changing is because YOU want change.
Who wants a 125 pound Santa.?
For the sake of heavens can we please leave people alone, if they are over weight or way too thin, let it GO. They and only they and their doctor should make any decisions on the weight issue. If you are happy and live is good for you, who gives a flying Turd if you have extra pounds on you.
As a woman, I perfer to live with an over weight man to a man that spends 5 days a week at the Gym body building and 4 hours a day checking themself out in the mirror to admire those 6 pack abs.
