White House aides: No Afghan decision before Thanksgiving
« on: November 19, 2009, 08:55:02 AM »

SEOUL -- President Barack Obama will not announce his decision on sending more troops to Afghanistan before the Thanksgiving holiday, senior aides said on Thursday.

The news came as the president greeted 1,500 troops at Osan Air Base in South Korea, just before boarding Air Force One and heading back to Washington after an eight-day Asia trip. ... Obama said in interviews Wednesday that he would reveal his decision within the next several weeks. On Thursday, aides clarified that there would be no announcement before Thanksgiving, one week away. Senior administration officials said Obama intends to meet with his national security team again before going public with his plans.  ...

Meanwhile, President Bush secretly surprised the troops and everyone else and served turkey to our soldiers.  I disagreed with his decision to pass the first stimulus during his last year of his presidency...but besides that, I was thankful to have him as our president.  He was a class act all the way...and he especially had a soft heart for our military.

They are beneath his greatness so he doesn`t care.
All he wants is somehow to benefit politically and/or continue campaigning against Bush.
Their lives don`t mean a damn thing to him. :censored:

This give me a pretty good indication of what he really thinks of us:

He still has no idea what the hell he plans to do. He is like a little child, close his eyes and plug his ears and go "LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU! YOU CAN'T SEE ME! LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111111"

I can't wait to vote his sorry, bowing to Mecca ass out of office. I am tired of seeing him f*** this country up more and putting our troops in danger.

He's going to be too busy to make a decision before Thanksgiving.

He's going to a few areas of the country that have been hit hard by unemployment.....like they really want to see him.... ::)

Then he's going to have to spend several days resting up from all his travels.....y'all just know how exhausting it is to fly around the world....in a comfortable jet with a private bedroom, bath and chef.....

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Why is he not serving Thanksgiving dinner to our troops? I bet he doesn't want to get his precious hands dirty

Actually it is my opinion that his delayed decision is a purely political calculation.......he knows that winter is setting in in Afghanistan, and with it comes the insurgents retreat into the mountains until spring, and generally a reduction in fighting.......Obama figures that if he dithers until winter, he can delay his decision until after his "social agenda" is passed, and not face the ire of his party's extreme left-wing.....

He is just kicking the can down the road at the expense of our soldiers in the field, which is despicable.

You know what breaks if a guy straddles a fence too long, assuming he's got any in the first place. And if he diddles to long he goes blind.

Does he not realize how long it takes to mobilize 30-40,000 troops in order to have them ready by spring?

He obviously doesn't realize that he's harming the troops that are there....and regardless of most peoples political affiliation...they still care about the welfare and safety of the troops even if they don't agree with war.

Also....Obama was quite vocal during his campaign that he felt the war should be fought in just Afghanistan...and all those Dems that voted for him knew that.

Now that he actually has to act on that campaign opinion....he doesn't do anything except ask for everybody's opinion.....over and over and over again.

Proving that he has no clue what he's supposed to actually do and keeps trying to get others/polls opinion to tell him what to do.

Since those opinions are constantly changing....he doesn't know where to jump.

He's basically landed on a iron spike fence with a leg on each side.....slowly bleeding out.

We, as citizens of the USA. As much as you and I might want to divorce ourselves from  the fools who voted for his tired "Kingfish" Long 1930's politics, they are still citizens, and thus thew "we".

I voted for Sarah.
