Oh my.

The true mud primitive, who ran the cboy4 primitive off Skins's island--bad money driving out the good, one supposes--commited matricide, and then uncommitted it, as the true mud primitive suddenly remembered Thanksgiving is next week, and the true mud primitive wants that free lunch.

I deleted my Mother off my Facebook account---but I just reinstated her. 

I know---sounds cold as hell....but my Mom is a fire breathing Right Winger who thinks Sarah P. is on par with the Virgin Mary---Glenn Beck is the smartest guy on the planet---Global Warming is caused by Cow farts----and that Health Care for all Americans is a Socialist plot to take over America.

And what forum does she say all this???? Facebook.

So---about a week ago I had enough and uhhh---de-friended her...

She doesn't work---stays at home all day----and watches Fox News 24x7.

The family has tried interventions--- but to no avail---she's ingested to much Kool-Aid.

Anyhow--- guilt for deletion has gotten the best of me and I reinstated her.

She is my Mom and I do love her---even though she's Bat Shit crazy.

No primitives at this bonfire yet, but there probably will be.

What is it about deleting "friends" on facebook?

Like it's a momentuous action, fraught with meaning?

Any insignificant event that DUmmies do is viewed by them as working against the higher powers to correct all that is wrong with the country. :whatever:

It's just really weird--for the record, franksolich does not use facebook--that the primitives attach such Great Importance to such things.

It's almost as if the internet, to the primitives, is more "real" than real life.

It just shows how obsessed with politics the DUmmies are, but I've noticed that liberals seem to be more inflexible and intolerant regarding opposing political beliefs than conservatives.  I have one friend in particular who is a very strong supporter of Homosexual marriage, and every now and then she'll post a rant about it on facebook.  I just ignore the post, and respond to her other posts.  She is nice and quirky, I just have no interest in discussing politics with her  :-)

I've never deleted anybody from my facebook page because they posted political views I disagreed with, that it just immature  :whatever:

I'm also wondering if the true mud primitive "re-instated" his mother, because she's getting on in years, and he's afraid that by ignoring her, he'll be cut out of the will.

Well, now the DUmmies can't complain that I took my flaming liberal sister off my FB friends.  She didn't want me commenting on her left-wing posts, so I made sure I wouldn't.

Someone should tell that guy that he can hide her posts (unbeknownst to her) without unfriending her.  That way he doesn't have to read her posts, and she's none the wiser.

I sure wish these asshats would come up with some facts that Beck, Palin, Fox News, and cow farts are wrong. Hell, Beck had a phone installed and handed Anita Dunn the phone number so she could call him and dispute his "lies". So far, no call!

I only recently became aware that anyone over age 16 used Facebook or MySpace. But then, again, if they worry about something like this, well....

Oh man.

A couple of months ago, the good samaritan primitive, the "Mari333" primitive, made a big deal out of deleting her brother from her facebook account.

And here, we're talking primitives in their mid-60s.

Ditto.  It amazes me too, but the completely goofy crap that they agonize over has been well documented here over the years, so this one doesn't surprise me a bit.
