Obama: Too much debt could fuel double-dip recession

BEIJING, Nov 18 (Reuters) - President Barack Obama gave his sternest warning yet about the need to contain rising U.S. deficits, saying on Wednesday that if government debt were to pile up too much, it could lead to a double-dip recession.

With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.

His administration was considering ways to accelerate economic growth, with tax measures among the options to give companies incentives to hire, Obama said in the interview with Fox conducted in Beijing during his nine-day trip to Asia.

Ironic isn't it? Obama is contributing to huge debt.

This is just more posturing to prepare us for the inevitable increase in unemployment, followed by huge tax increases.

The sad thing is that he actually realizes and readily admits that there is too much debt and yet, he continues to drive us DEEPER in debt. I suspect that he has nefarious reasons for doing so.

Or maybe because he has a total lack of knowledge for the job he has been given

No, I disagree. While I'll be the first one to say that he's inexperienced, I think that he KNOWS EXACTLY what he's doing. Destroy the Dollar and make us switch to some other currency, like the "Amero".

Nah, it'd be a combo of the "loonie," the dollar, and the peso.

Also, Thor is right on.  The Obamessiah knows exactly what he is doing.  It's all part of Cloward-Piven.

If we had any decent journalists left they would be all over this. $1 trillion pork bill was his baby and now... now he's concerned about debt? yea, sure he is.

I try not to attribute to ingenuity what could just as easily be explained by stupidity.  Too easy to go totally paranoid the other way.

Between this, the mammogram issue, and the KSM trail, I'm starting to wonder if the guy has gone insane- These things aren't a Democrat vs Republican thing -- they are all stupidity vs reality issues.

And there is no way in hell he is going to get votes from anyone but his hardcore followers with these issues - Especially the Mammogram one - his medical advisers have pissed off A LOT of middle of the road women with that.

Someone on the cabinet said they may have to cut Corporate Taxes, Hello, Haven't Conservatives been saying that. Obama called it foolish, now he may do it.
As far as the mammogram issue, the rationing has started. Get ready for much more with ObamaCare.
He, of course, had to run up such debt to repair the Bush debt. What a whack job. Trouble is, the next two in line are scary as hell too. Biden or Pelosi, some choice. HUH?
