Equalizer Actor Edward Woodward Dies

Actor Edward Woodward, famous for his roles in The Wicker Man and The Equalizer has died today.

The 79-year-old had been suffering from various illnesses, including pneumonia.

He died at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro this morning.

Originally a Shakespearean stage actor, Woodward rose to fame in the 1960s and early 1970s in the television spy series Callan.

It was the 1980s hit US TV series The Equalizer which earned Woodward international attention and a Golden Globe award.

Besides Airwolf this show was one of my favorites on CBS. RIP Mr Woodward you earned your rest. Thanks for the many years of entertainment.



He was also in this movie about the SAS and terrorist. He shows up late in the movie during this scene.

Damn, just damn! The Eualizer was a helluva good show. Kinda like a serious A-Team. Underdogs always need help from the likes of the "Equalizer"!
