johnaries (1000+ posts) Sun Nov-15-09 05:12 PMOriginal messageI'm beginning to think Lou Dobbs has a point! When you think about it, 90% or more of the current problems and issues in America could have been avoided if there had been stronger anti-immigration policies by Native Americans. The most egregious example would have to be by the Wampanoag, who effectively extended welfare to a group of radical religious extremists who immigrated illegally to Plymouth. The well-meaning Wampanoag granted these radical extremists 1200 acres, and taught them to hunt and grow their own food. They were later rewarded by having the extremists brutally attack and steal their land. The Wampanoag should have repelled these illegal immigrants, or at the very least let them fend for themselves and starve. Therefore, I suggest that all who oppose illegal immigration boycott Thanksgiving in protest. I encourage all concerned patriots to join anti-immigration sites and spread the word. All Lou Dobbs followers and other patriots - send a message to Congress! Boycott Thanksgiving!

Greyhound (1000+ posts) Sun Nov-15-09 05:19 PMResponse to Original message3. I'll K&R that. I don't think it can be denied that the world and humanity would be far better off today had they had executed the deluded assholes upon their uninvited arrival.
jwirr (1000+ posts) Sun Nov-15-09 06:02 PMResponse to Original message13. LOL You mean no pretty little teenage girls turning cartwheels for them and no thanks giving dinner? Oh, no.
johnaries (1000+ posts) Sun Nov-15-09 06:13 PMResponse to Original message17. And once the boycott catches on, it will show just how rational and intelligent the anti-immigration crowd is!
dbonds (1000+ posts) Sun Nov-15-09 06:40 PMResponse to Original message18. Similar thing happened with Mexico. Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 06:56 PM by dbondsMexico had some immigrants from the US move into the Texas region. The immigrants started a way, lost the Alamo, then had the US jump in and take the land from Mexico. (Grossly simplified version)
The Wampanoag (pronounced /ËŒwÉ‘ËmpəˈnoÊŠ.æɡ/;[1] Wôpanâak in the Wampanoag language; alternate spellings Wompanoag or Wampanig) are a Native American nation which currently consists of five tribes. In 1600 the Wampanoag lived in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as within a territory that encompassed current day Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket and the Elizabeth Islands. Their population numbered about 12,000.Historical Wampanoag leaders included:Massasoit, who met the English; Massasoit's oldest son Wamsutta (known by the English as King Alexander) who died under mysterious circumstances after visiting with English colonial administrators in Plymouth; His second son Metacom or Metacomet (King Philip), who initiated the war against the English known as King Philip's War in retaliation for the death of his brother at the hands of the English; Sachem Weetamoo of the Pocasset, a woman who supported Metacom and drowned crossing the Taunton River while fleeing the English; Sachem Awashonks of the Sakonnet, a woman who at first fought the English but then changed sides; and Annawan, a war leader.
I think the real reason many DUmmies hate thanksgiving is a simple fact: They are not welcome at family gatherings because they can't shut up about politics are are intolerant of family members who disagree. Every year I read DUmmies posting frome home alone on turkey day...all they have to celebrate with is a turkey sandwich. No Feast. no family cheer. Bitter and alone. abandoned by their own families.
Boring DUmmies...anti-Thanksgiving soon to be followed by anti-Christmas.
