One of the lamest bouncy's in a while

What freedoms have you lost??

The on-going saga of the Freeper at work.

So Mr. Right-wing is putting a meme from Judge Joe Napolitano about "We can't sit back and allow the loss of our freedoms' on everyone's desk, mine included. It immediately got tossed in the garbage. I went and cornered him in the showroom and asked "What freedoms have you lost"?

Silence.

I asked again, but differently "So what freedoms do you think you've lost since Obama was elected President"?

Silence, but now his bald head is turning red. I ask one last time "Since you seem to think that a former judge who is a PAID hack of Fox news is pretty smart, what freedoms did he say You've lost?"

Now he's on the spot, and people are beginning to giggle. "Well well, I can't drive from point A to point B without getting stopped by the cops and checked".

Me; "That's called sobriety checkpoints, and they've been out there for decades, is that all you've got?

You ****ing Liberals are ****ing this country up and you'll see when we're all in camps and under armed guard"

Me; You included me in your scenario, but I won't be the one in the camp being guarded"

His head then exploded as the people in the showroom burst out laughing. He threw the rest of his papers in the trash, ran out of the showroom, got in his car and left. We think he went home.

Oh well. Another freeper has his dreams smashed.

Back to work. My job is done for the day.

I hesitated even bringing this over here, but it was so bad it needed to be laughed at.

Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.   ~Robert A. Heinlein

An assortment of freedoms from the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 14th Amendments appear to be in some heightened degree of peril, actually, on issues ranging from the squirrely ideas of the FCC's Diversity Czar to elimination of freedom to contract for health care insurance to unjust and iequitable taxation.

Well, Obama's Health Care bill seems to strip the 10th amendment to the bones., For one. Taking what is ultimately a states rights issue and putting it under a federal umbrella certainly qualifies as a freedom lost.

You can learn a lot from a DUmmy just from reading his journal.   :-)

Ok freedoms lost under Bush.
The freedom to communicate and take part in operations with terrorists.

Freedoms that Obama is trying to take from us.
1 Free speech. He has called us domestic terrorists and told us to shut up. And I have no doubt he has plans to try to silence Rush, Hannity, Beck, and so forth. He has already declared war on Fox news. If Bush had done this all the panties at the DUmp would be bunched up even worse than normal.

2 Economic freedom. Cap and tax legislation that will force us to consume less or pay more.

Then there is the soon to be mandated health insurance. So Americans are no longer free to provide health care for just themselves everyone will be forced to contribute to everyone's health care.

Then there are the takeovers and control of salaries of what were once private companies. They swear up and down that they will only control the pay of companies who were part of the bail out but, I know they plan on regulated everyone's pay before too long.

In a nutshell Bush took freedoms from terrorists and Obama is taking freedoms from law abiding decent people. And to throw salt in our wounds he is giving terrorists I mean alleged perpetrators of man made disasters more rights. Who's side is Obama on anyway?

When I was a kid, I was free to ride in the back window of Mom and Dad's car.

We were all free to leave the seat belts off if we chose.

No one had even heard of someone being forced not to smoke anywhere...especially in their own homes.

Anyone was free to mention the name of Jesus in any school in the country without fear of having their mike unplugged and notice of a lawsuit from the ACLU in their mailbox.

I was free to sing actual Christmas carols and hymns in school, during our Christmas program, before we went on Christmas vacation.

I could read the Ten Commandments while standing on public property...and I could even see crosses in public.

No one had ever heard of someone being fired for wearing a cross to work, having a Bible on their desk, or wishing someone "Merry Christmas."

Calling someone a "Christian" wasn't an insult because we were all free to learn what Christians actually do...

Here's the offending article, and it's quite clear Napolitano is addressing the potential loss of freedoms as a result of the Dem's healthcare legislation passing:

Quote
We Can't Sit Back and Allow the Loss of Our Freedoms

by Andrew Napolitano

, FOXNews.com

We elect the government. It works for us. As we watch the Democrats' plans for health care take shape, we can only ask how did our government get so removed, so unbridled, so arrogant that it can tell us how to live our personal lives?

Last Saturday, at 11 o’clock in the evening, the House of Representatives voted by a five vote margin to have the federal government manage the health care of every American at a cost of $1 trillion dollars over the next ten years.

For the first time in American history, if this bill becomes law, the Feds will force you to buy insurance you might not want, or may not need, or cannot afford. If you don’t purchase what the government tells you to buy, if you don’t do so when they tell you to do it, and if you don’t buy just what they say is right for you, the government may fine you, prosecute you, and even put you in jail. Freedom of choice and control over your own body will be lost. The privacy of your communications and medical decision making with your physician will be gone. More of your hard earned dollars will be at the disposal of federal bureaucrats.

It was not supposed to be this way. We elect the government. It works for us. How did it get so removed, so unbridled, so arrogant that it can tell us how to live our personal lives? Evil rarely comes upon us all at once, and liberty is rarely lost in one stroke. It happens gradually, over the years and decades and even centuries. A little stretch here, a cave in there, powers are slowly taken from the states and the people and before you know it, we have one big monster government that recognizes no restraint on its ability to tell us how to live. It claims the power to regulate any activity, tax any behavior, and demand conformity to any standard it chooses.

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/11/10/judge-andrew-napolitano-health-care-freedom-pelosi-congress/

So no, it was not Napolitano's intent to trot out a laundry list of rights already lost under The Obamessiah (as you DUmbasses frequently point out "It's early yet, give him time"), but rather to highlight the healthcare bill as one more step down the slippery slope of government intrusion.

I'm sure your fictional "Freeper" would have known this and, had he been a real person, pointed it out to you, instead of going off on tangents about police checkpoints.

Massive bouncy failure.
