Well, this raises an interesting question.

As a professional civilian who's not Commander-in-Chief, how is one supposed to act in such a circumstance?

I just routinely stand straight and bow the head a tad bit, for lack of knowing what else to do.

If this is when I believe it is, during the National Anthem, one should remove any headgear, place the right hand over the heart, as the other civilian is doing in the photograph.

I thought about it Sparky.  But quite honestly I'm having to really try and keep myself in check about this crap right now.  What I'm seeing is disgusting.  I just haven't figured out a way I can truly express it given the confines of my current position ya know?

Hold on folks...gotta put the brakes on this one quick.

That's not veterans day.  That has to be Memorial Day.

Sparky you should be embarased that an Army grunt like me caught the fact that ADM Mullen is in his Summer Whites in that photo.  When I saw him the other day he was in his Winter Blues.  Also notice that there's no signs of the rain that was falling on Wed.

So I will corrct my first statement.  It wasn't Wed. that I noticed this it was back on Memorial Day.

Which explains why I haven't brought it up in the last two days.  It happened 6 months ago.
