Walmart t.v. ad, to our troops: 'because of you, we're living better'
Just saw a Walmart ad showing U.S. soldiers with the above quote, and it got me thinking. What the hell does that Mad Avenue catchy and commercial statement mean, and is there any truth to it?
Break it down word for word. 'We're living better', meaning Americans I assume. ...'because of you', meaning the troops.
Maybe I've had too much coffee this morning, but this statement pisses me off, I shouldn't let it, it's just a damn jingle on a t.v. ad for Walmart.
I have nothing but pity for our troops, then pride, then a sick feeling in my gut because America is HIDING it's two wars, our longest running wars, our endless wars, WE NEVER SEE the suffering of our troops, or the suffering of the people of Iraq and Afghanistan, or ANY ****ING THING about our glorious wars, and all the dead soldiers and dead innocents too numerous to count.
And Walmart, that very heart of our consumer culture, reminds us in an insulting ad that purports to be praising our soldiers, and assuring American consumers that BECAUSE OF OUR WARS, we're living better.
I need more coffee.

Hey mopaul, in the two year run-up to the 2008 election, you couldn't turn on the news without seeing some type of negative reporting about American soldiers dying and insinuating how evil we as a nation are for waging them.
After Dear Leader was elected, suddenly the press pays no attention to them at all. Even you've admitted it above that you don't see anything on TV about it.
It's obvious to anyone that can think that the MSM isn't going to show anything on TV that might place Dear Leader in a bad light, so that automatically means you don't see it that way. You remain purposely stupid, and you can't stand it when I or some other conservative points it out to you. You libs are your own worst enemy for placing ideology and loyality to party over truth.
