Starbucks Pepperming Mocha and Gingerbread latte's during the Holiday season are great...

Tea, I only really like chamomile(twinnings or bonbell) ..and that's when I want to de-stress

Hot Chocolate, nothing beat Swiss Miss with marshmallows and whipped cream.

I make it with milk and add a shot of Frangelica....or white Creme de Menthe....or Creme de Cocoa...or Amaretto...whipped cream and chocolate shavings or spinkle of cinnamon.... :drool:

Just noticed the Starbucks in the kroger had the sign for those lattes. I love them both too, but am inclined to split the first one since it's loaded with calories, but mmm is it heaven in a cup! Their seasonal lattes really are awesome though--I'm inclined towards the gingerbread one as well :bow:

One of the things I make for Christmas presents is home-made hot chocolate mix. Put it in cutesy little "holiday" containers and take several chocolate peppermint sticks (Hershey makes them) and tie a ribbon around the sticks. I also do spice tea mix and do ribbon tied cinnamon sticks.

Any dark roast. I have espresso mixed in for that extra kick sometimes. I like to add sugar, mocha and creamer. Most of the time, I might skip the sugar and just add flavored creamer. And ALWAYS whipped cream.

Starbucks.  :drool: Christmas Blend coming out soon.....

Teas. I love Earl Grey with sugar. And as always, sweet tea.  :heart:

Well the starbucks girl told me you can get the peppermint mocha latte all days of the year(minus the chocolate shavings)...but it's advertized during the Holiday season.  She said it's just a latte with mocha and peppermint syrup...I'm not sure about the gingerbread one.

I decided several years ago that it's too darn hard to find Christmas presents for several of those I give gifts to...and I would just make stuff instead.

I have 2 admin assistants, an office manager, and a broker...all women... and they get gifts from just about everyone in the office which is close to 100 agents!! It's impossible to get them something different that doesn't cost me a fortune.

Last year I did gift bags with the chocolate and tea stuff above, a mug, little loaves of pumpkin walnut bread and apple raisin pecan bread, spiced almonds and pecans. I think I added a few other things too, but can't remember what...

I bought containers at the Dollar Tree for the chocolate and tea mixes, and for the nuts. They came 2 or 3 for $1, the mugs were $1 each, and I also got the little bread tins, colored cling wrap, cinnamon sticks, and tissue paper.

They were happy, and each thing I made, made enough to do gifts for 3 others.

Great ideas...I was just searching online for ideas for gifts for the boss...I give my manager and my director gifts every year and was running out of ideas...home-made cookies and stuff is a good idea....now if I only had the time......
I get gifts from my staff, but usually wine and liquor...they must think I'm an alcoholic. :uhsure:

My peeps have too much crap.  They are getting something like the above from me.  I am gonna bake all my Mom's standard cookies and send em to her.  She is near blind and can't bake like she used to.  I would love to get that spice tea recipe, for other peeps.

I'm not sure I'm even supposed to TELL another living soul about this, but I THINK I learned how to make the brew from the 'Goat Locker' from my father.  Being sworn to secrecy himself on the matter, the degree of feedback on the subject was somewhat limited.

Tazo Awake Tea is my current favorite with honey, milk and grated ginger root.
Traditional Medicinal ThinkO2 really can give my brain a boost.

I've also been drinking a lot of Salada's white tea.

Occasionally, as a treat I will have a mocha.

The bread recipes were from Paula Deen. If you go online and google her recipes...look for the applesauce bread and pumpkin bread recipes. I know I used chunky applesauce for the one and I added raisins to the pumpkin, and nuts to both. I don't remember if they were in the recipes. I doubled the recipes and got 8 mini loaves from each. Dollar Tree has the mini tins for the bread....I think there are 3 to a pack. If you are going to use mini tins, you need to get them as soon as possible, they sell out at this time of year.

Dollar Tree also has Reynolds Cling Wrap in colors...for $1 a box. I bought the green and blue (for my Jewish friends)...the red was sort of anemic looking.

Tots.....I used Lipton instant tea, the lemon one, but non sweetened. I couldn't find Tang, so ended up using Crystal Light orange - but I bought Kroger's brand of the stuff - it was quite a bit cheaper. Added cinnamon and a bit of ground clove. I just read the quantity on the back of the tea for how much it would make, and added one extra container of orange for the same quantity. (If I can do that type of math - anyone can :thatsright:) I ended up drinking about 3 cups of the stuff before I was happy with the mix...needed to add more cinnamon and clove. ( I mixed it up in a big mixing bowl) I did have to go buy more tea....it took more to fill the containers than I thought it would.

I bought Christmas address labels and ran them through my printer. I did "From the Kitchen of The Enchanted Cottage" on each and then what it was. Enchanted Cottage Events is what my friend and I named our "side business".....

If on the run, Wawa coffee.  I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere in this thread, but if you find yourselves in the mid-atlantic region -- NJ, eastern PA, DE, MD, VA -- and you need to find good coffee without having to pay $5 or more a cup, stop at a Wawa store.  If I ever move out of the area, Wawas are something I would seriously miss!

At home, I make a dry mix in a giant coffee can of 2 bricks of ground Caribbean espresso, a heaping cup (more like 10 oz) of Rainforest Crunch from CoffeeAM (they're in GA) and 3 small packets of French Vanilla (the kind that states it makes a potful on the outside of the package).  This usually lasts us a month before I have to make up another batch. It's a serious AM eye-opener!

I like Krispy Kremes...but that one just seems over the top for me.

I did buy a panettone though to make bread pudding. It's a dense Italian cake with orange and raisins.
