   is that the Moslems are any different in their view of people who don't share their faith than many other religions, could I suggest that you look at the larger pattern of history which encompasses religious hatred and intolerance every bit as bad, if not worse?

The Crusades which involved both Christians and Moslems, the Spanish Inquisition which allowed church officials to torture and kill anyone they deemed to be a heretic within their shared faith. How about the persecution of the Huguenots in France where they were shot for sport.

Then there were the Pilgrims here who fled religious persecution of their own, only to impose it on others with different views when they got here. The Mormons who were shot to death while in jail in Illinois by the "regular Christians." Should I go on, or is the point that very few people find difference attractive or forgivable? That is a shame, because aside for differences in outlook we are all human, yet we can't treat each other as such.

If that is not what you are saying, pardon the ring.

10. That is really a pointless question because there will be millions of Muslims
   who say that Islam is about tolerance and quote parts of the Koran. There are other millions of Muslims who will say that infidels are abhorrent and nay sayers should be killed and they will quote the Koran. It is no different than various interpretations of the Bible. Every Christian denomination quotes the Bible but they all come up with different interpretations.

   the Koran refers to them as 'people of the book'. And asking what the Koran says about them is too broad of a question to answer since many different conditions and situations a Muslim will face with the Jews and Christians are addressed. The question must be put in a specific context. I'll answer the question for one case, "Do not take them as friends!".

Can`t allow any thinking that may prove the liberal world view wrong or be a domestic political liability you know.

I too was as dumb as the DUmmies before 9/11/2001....Muzzies prayed 5 times a day and had many wives.

I am no longer as ignorant as the DUmmies. Their choice of continued ignorance is going to get a lot of people killed. Among those that might be killed is my 14 year old son. The fact is horrible things have happened under the banner of all religions. The reason being is people who lust power can twist their religious teachings and convince people to do horrible things. Yep.  The main difference between Christianity and Islam is that Islam has historically grown by the sword, while Christianity, though not without fault, has grown by prayer 99% of the time.  It doesn't help that our country is so willfully ignorant about all the good done by Christianity...despite the many hospitals, shelters, food pantries and soup kitchens that still bear the names and do the work.

Which version of the Koran does he want to study?  The "official" version or one of the one hundred eighty or so versions banned by Mohammed himself, who admitted that he could not remember which version was the right one?

Also, what weight are they willing to give to the verses that Mohammed claims he must have been under the influence of a demon to have said?

Studying just the Koran is a mistake one must also know what is in the Hadiths.  Some prophet....
