franksolich is going to have to promote some primitives from the unterprimitiven. the faceless lynch mob, up into PoP (Primitives of Prominence).

YANKS WIN 27th World Series

Yeah, shove that up your rectal apertures and smoke on it, anti-America's team primitives.

The cross-eyed Iowa primitive, who now lives in Denver, and who's quite a hefty guy, and four-eyed too:

1. Zzzzzz... huh, you woke me up for this crap?

Yankees can buy World Series anytime.

(Wife's a Yankees fan, and she'll probably go to the parade whenever that happens since she's heading to NYC tomorrow)

41. Parade is tomorrow

Here's the forecast:

Tomorrow: Partly cloudy skies during the morning hours will give way to occasional showers in the afternoon. High 52F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

Wish I could go to see the World Champs but have to work. Good job Yankees - this NYer is thrilled.

franksolich is thrilled too.

10. Yanks vs Rox WS next year.

And Rox will take it all in 4.

And Broncos win the Super Bowl.

And Avalanche win the Stanley Cup

And Nuggets win the NBA Championship.

All within one year!

43. Can't have two American league teams in the series. And besides, the Giants are going to win the super bowl, Rangers for the cup and Knicks for the championship. Sorry bout that. But today, I celebrate the Yankees.

This is what happens when you play an actual Major League team in the World Series, Philadelphia.

14. OH this is so sportsman like....

You should be so proud of yourself... This is why many people EXACTLY hate Yankee fans...its not enough to win, you have to stomp them into the freakin ground. Some sports fan you are.. be proud of yourself.

32. I thought the Phillies played well. No need to demean the other team simply because things did not go their way. They made it just about all the way and lost by losing just one two games. In a case like this and with an attitude like yours, maybe the best team didn't win.

Just as Bo proved last year that money wins the White House.

It's amazing that nearly a billion plus buys the White House.

25. It's about time. NYY spent a billion dollars over the last four years.

It got them one whole World Series Crown.

I'd expect a better return for my money considering how much they outspend everyone else but after watching the BoSox gleen two Championships I bet Yankees fans were getting pretty desperate.

The House That Ruth Built is filling landfills in Hoboken. This victory christened The House That 'Roids Built.

31. Cogratulation to the winners.

But,the Phillies deserve a lot of credit for playing as well as they did with a lot less money.

Well, yeah, just as much as John McCain deserves a lot of credit for running as well as he did, with a Hell of a lot less money than Bo.

And yet, mysteriously, nobody accuses them of having bought the National League championship.

47. Same here

It's why I've lost what was once a keen interest in bball. There's the Yankees, whose owner can and does buy any player he wants, and the rest of MLB that simply serves as his supermarket.

52. Basebusiness: Where all but 9 teams are out of the running by at least August.

In the end, the teams that do make it year after year are the large-market spendthrifts.

In fact, maybe we should just fold all small/mid market teams anyway. Send all great players to the Large Market Entitlement Machine and just make all sports the Boston/LA/Chicago/NY/Philadelphia/Detroit League. And the mid/small market "cow towns" can play . . .. lesser sports like AAA baseball (I mean, who are we kidding? What is Basebusiness but LA/Boston/NY and their 27 bitch farm clubs?), volleyball and curling.

That's really what the ESPN/Yahoo people and front-running fans of all large market teams want anyway.

49. George buys another World Series

Another reason that we should have free agency and other such measures to level the monetary playing field. It works in the NFL, it would work in the MLB.

Just as Bo bought the White House, one supposes.

Wish I had bookmarked the post from some Philly's fan primitive last week that said the Yankee's were the Republicans of baseball and the Phillies were the Democrats.  It was the absolutely worst appeal I've seen to try and get the whole board to cheer for the Phillies.

A few of them toyed with the idea of wishing everyone could be winners and have trophies, but didn't come right out and say it.

The New York Yankees win the New York Yankee League every year. So whats the big deal?

When Baseball teams get the same budgets I'll be interested. When some teams are outspent 10-1, I am not going to celebrate the buying of a title.
