OK so we have the start of the Obama Youth Corps.
A tie between universal health care and slavery to a tyrannical govt.
Devotion and adoration to a glorious leader...who sorta looks like Obama.

Only softball questions allowed.
the media compromising its standards for position with the govt.

AND Militias presented in a good light.

Did a conservative write this?

It's going to be interesting, isn't it! My knee jerk reaction to the healthcare was propoganda... but they suprised me!

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

For those that didn't see the original series it was on the SYFY channel for the past 3 days. As to the new episodes story ,they took alot from the origianl series and the the man that created the original, Kenneth Johnston, co wrote tonights episode. The series was available on DVD not long ago

All in all, I was disappointed. Right when I was truly starting to get into the show, it was over. The premier should have been a two hour premier vs only an hour. I think it has the potential to be a great series, again. Even in the original series, which I watched back in the 80s and again the last three days, one could draw parallels to our current government.

That.  Was.  AWESOME.  It's gonna be a good show.

+1 on both counts

Leapin' lizards! ABC's 'V' premiere lands big ratings

I thought it was good.  I agree with whoever said it was over too soon and should have had a 2 hour premier. But over all I was pleased.

Best remake ever, so far?

Might be a bit too soon to call, the remake of Battlestar Galactica was rather impressive.

Yeah BSG was pretty good, except for Starbuck.

And expanding out from TV a little, the new Star Trek movie was probably the best remake ever.

Tuesday?  Maybe?  Don't series normally get shown on the same day each week?  ::)

If that's the case. that's lame. They seem to be airing it opposite NCIS  :(

That is why they invented VCRs and DVRs.

I have neither....... but I DO has PC and interwebz!! :)

Anna (the V leader) seemed vaguely familiar to me. I've been wondering what other shows she's been in. It turns out that she was in the Stargate SG1 series, Firefly, and Serenity.

Firefly was cancelled before it's time.

Firefly was cancelled before it's time.

So was SG1 and Atlantis. There's plenty of stuff left to explain for BOTH shows. Even the after-series movies didn't do those two justice. I liked Serenity, but Firefly seemed like a Western with sci-fi effects. I wasn't real impressed with Firefly.

I friggen love this show. It makes my tinfoil hat seem loose.  :rotf:

talking about how humans are predictable, how the media spins pandemics and crisis, and putting crap in the flu vaccine... I almost feel normal now.

Good episode tonight. I thought the show was falling off a cliff after the pilot but tonight's show was as good or better than the first.

(spoiler alert)

Sucks that the skewered Priest has to lay there bleeding until March 10th.  :p

That last shot of those thousands of V ships massing in space was cool. And I shudder to think what the baby will look like. Half reptile, half human? Blech...

They did the baby thing in the original V. It was twins with sort of one of each though the "human" baby had a nice long forked tongue.
