Happy Tuesday you miserable lot!
« on: November 03, 2009, 07:25:11 AM »
Hey guys!

Polishing oiff my second cuppa and trying to get psyched for a day that contains errands laundry and a trip to the health club. :p

Somebody effed up here and it's sunny this morning.  Pretty soon we are going to be back to that whole "Going to bed when it's dark, getting up when it's dark" thing.  I'm amazed my wife hasn't snapped and take a chainsaw into work.  She gets that seasonal affect disorder something fierce.

Anybody have a more fun life out there than I do?  PLEASE chime in so I can enjoy it vicariously. Extra bonus points if it's someone who remembers what a normal sex life is.  :hyper:

Proficiancy testing for the schools starts today here and they are freaking out that the kids should do well. Guess it's a little unnerving when they are held to standards.  :evillaugh:

Sunny here, and cold this morning.  I don't know about you, but most of the time it's dark when I go to bed and when I get up.  What sucks is that I'll be going to work in the dark, and it will be almost dark when I get off from work.

Sunny and cold. Doesn't match my mood. Have a French test at 9:30 and I haven't been able to study as much as I need to. Oh well, guess I'll wing it.

Bonne Chance!

Absolutely nothing exciting planned for today.  Work, then a trip to Macy's to use some 20% and $20 off cards before they expire.  I need some brown, flat shoes because I still can't wear heels.

I'm still dragging. Brought a cold home from my Halloween expedition to the great northern mitten, but had a great time nonetheless!

This will be my second regular workout day I haven't gone because of this, but judging how i feel now, I think I can pop an ibuprofen tomorrow and probably be ready to start easing back into it.

It is sunny outside at least, but very chilly! Went and got the xl DD coffee this am...mmmmm...needed that!

So I think I'll just do light housework today..laundry, take down the indoor Halloween decoration in favor of a few wooden turkeys thrown about and just rest some more while enjoying  a laugh here on cc. Might catch some daytime tv to make my whole 'sick' experience complete. :-)

Took a "mental health" day.  Only losing 4 hours of OT and I'll more than make that up this weekend.

Was up a lot of the night coughing and sneezing and generally not breathing well so I called in sick. I'm hoping I'll crash soon in a day-long nap.

High in Phoenix is supposed to be 95, which may be a record. Fabulous!/s

I'd be willing to take some of that heat here. We didn't hit the mid 90's but a couple of time this summer, and never broke 100. :(

Hey, if I could, I would give you some. It gets old after a while.

We have an expected high of 80 today, which basically means that the air conditioning will be up too high in the office and I'll keep my sweater on anyways.

Happy Tuesday you miserable lot!

Bite my shiny metal ass!

I had the day off yesterday.  Ergo I must have to work today, as is my usual schedule.  I forgot I had swapped Monday for Saturday this week and went into work anyway.  I did get Chick-fil-a for lunch on my way home, so I'm okay.

My throat has been sore for a couple of days.  Don't think I have a fever or anything, but one never knows.  I may take tomorrow off JIC.  My thought is that it's likely caused by asthma.

Seems like people are either getting really knocked out with the flu or just having this lingering crud where one feels generally unwell and sluggish and has maybe one cold symptom and no others. weird! Hope you are feeling better soon!

It was supposed to be reasonably warm and sunny today in the Sandhills of Nebraska, but the past couple of hours, the skies have gotten thickly grey-clouded, and there's wind, and it's getting colder.

Scary stuff going on here....the sun is out again!!! It is starting to cloud up a bit...but this is the third day in a row for sun....Mother Nature must have gotten laid or something.... :uhsure:

My klutz ability is on overdrive. I went to Sam's a week or so ago, got a 50lb bag of cat litter. Got it under the cart on the rack ok, but when I was lifting it out to put it in the car....I whacked by upper arm ---on the part that's covered with a skin graft ----into the bottom of the cart, and kind of wrenched the shoulder. Anyhow, it was sore, and I have a good sized lump under the scar...doesn't bruise really, guess because it's a graft.

So it was getting better....

Until yesterday, when I decided to lean over and reach....with the left arm (I am very very right handed)...that I sort of turned backwards to reach a box handle insert with 2 huge jugs of vinegar in it...and lifted the damn thing.

:thatsright: I am sooooo stupid .....and just because I think I'm still 30...I'm not.  :bawl:

Spent the rest of the afternoon and evening with an icebag on my shoulder and collarbone.

The other half put me in HIS chair (big leather puffy chair), gave me advil, got me something to drink, told me not to cook, kept exchanging the ice bags out, gave me the remote  :o, babied me and did 2 loads of laundry!!!!!!!!!

My shoulder is much better today.

Hmmmm......there's still some laundry to do.....wonder if I should hurt something else..... :uhsure:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

:-)

Yeah, I was until last week...then I took my chances dabbling in the Halloween fun knowing a handful of people had been exposed to various sicknesses, not to mention my best friend at the gym was there most of last week with a cold too and here I am...tada! LOL...feeling progressively better though as the day wears on.
