WTF is it with people..two incidents

First incident happened last week...My friend sent me a frantic text for help.I couldn't do much to help him I was stranded at home and I had the flu in bed. It turned out he was harassed by some fanatic fundies. He said these people were threatening him, threatening to kill him if he refused jesus etc. Than one of these jerks casually moved his jacket aside revealing a concealed weapon, a gun. This happened in my town. At a Starbucks!I hope these ****tards never come around again.

Later that same week another friend and I were walking down the road when some shit head fundie in an SUV took his hands off his steering wheel in moving traffic, to make a cross with his index fingers as he yelled at us "You satanists go to hell!!!"
I just sorta stood there. It was so weird I had no retort.

WTF is it with the fanatics.
They seem to be itching for some trouble, just looking for anything any excuse and they'll go off on someone. I tell you some people on religion behave like they are high out of their minds, for them religion is actually their drug of choice and anything in the environment that isn't just like they are,and is not an addicted to the same belief system somehow threatens them. They panic like addicts when they can't get a fix. it's scary I tell ya. I have been chased by christian fanatics with knives before,a few years ago when I lived in a different town.
I do not want a repeat experience of that. I hope someone contains these belligerent fanatics out here before someone gets hurt.

Services for years with mom and dad. Then upon graduating high school, they, like good little Christians everywhere, went over to serve in Iraq or Afghanistan, and kill themselves some Moslems for the betterment of The Christ.

And now they are home and they are itching to have the sort of authority that they had back in the war zone. Where every other night they had the thrill of knocking in someone's door, and screaming at everyone from the elderly granmas and granpas to the toddlers, to do as they were told.

Now they are HOME, and they have no where to cultivate those "job skills."

Can you even imagine what it would be like to be married to someone like this?

I don't know why anyone would beleive the subway cat who lives somewhere near or in Aberdeen, MD pretty much at all.  I did some work in that area before I knew she was there, and scouted around a bit.  Suffice to say, everything she has ever said about that area is absolute crap.  There is not a homeless problem in the area, and there is not an unusual amount of churches.  Somehow, I was not accosted by anyone asking for money or trying to force conversions.
Either she is a liar or she is posting from an alternate universe.

As for the  second, the military presence there on Aberdeen consists mostly of officers training at the ordinanace officer school, security, and the personel responsible for operations and maintenance on APG.  I doubt most of them have ever kicked in a door, or have any desire to force anything on anyone.

See.  Change "Christian" to "liberalism" and it's automatically more believable.

Either she is a liar or she is posting from an alternate universe.

I'm not sure those two are mutually exclusive.

These bouncies weren't even entertaining.  She needs to try harder.  The ol' "drug dealers shot up my house" could be recycled.  That was fun for a few minutes.

I'd be all like throwing stars at his head, and he'd be all "ow, please, I can't see" and he'd crash into a car load of bankrobbers and the cops would be all "that was great, can you tech us?" and I'd like become a special agent cop guy and get an award from the mayor and shit.

That would be cool!

This just exemplifies their nuttiness. They actually see Christians as the ones instigating some jihad on Muslims. I have always been interested in what makes people so weak-minded that they can allow themselves to be winned over by their own prejudice and delusions. As to the delphi idiot, if this was indeed some holy war it was started by your beloved fundy Muslims who declared Jihad on the US(not just Christians, but US citizens and that includes nutcases like you delphi) many years ago. When you consider how backward and detached many Arab nations have become, it's not hard to understand how the mindset in some areas there is that this is a score settling from 1000 years ago. Islam is a vengeful religion that projects their own bad behavior on others(unless you are Muslim female in which case you are the scapegoat for bad behavior). I won't go as far as to say it does not have it's place, however the secular version of it and the softened cultural version of it are far preferable to the fundy portion of it. I don't think you can say the same of strictly fundy Christians here. Most even in that extreme end up being isolationists rather then shit-stirrers.

Fundies simply want to get a rise out of people. That's why I simply ignore them and act as if I'm not even aware of them.

If I see one bothering people while waiting for a bus in downtown Pittsburgh, I simply walk away and move to another bus stop on the same line. If I see them in a public place, I ignore them or if they're rather boisterous, turn around to avoid them.

I can see it now. A couple of guys with fedoras and trench coats and one Cuban in a white suit meet up of the cat friend.

Trench coat guy one: I'm Bugsy. We're here to convert you to Jesus, see?

Cat friend: You're funny.

Trench coat guy one: Funny how? Funny like a clown? I amuse you?

Cat friend: Uh. No. It's just that I don't like Jesus.

Trench coat guy one: Not very smart. Hell is hot. Maybe you want a hot time? Bull, show him the heater.

Trench coat guy two pulls back his trench coat to reveal a hand gun.

Cat friend: Is that a gun? You can't convert me with a gun.

Trench coat guy one <to the guy in the white suit>: Hey Tony, this guy don't like Jesus and says a gun can't convert him. What do you think?

Guy in the white suit: A gun can't convert him? I say he needs to say hello to my little friend.

As automatic shots ring out the screen fades to black.

In all seriousness, it appears as if UGP is at least making an attempt at reviving the creative Bouncy genre.

I have a simple technique I've used with Jehovah's Witnesses:

JW: Do you ever read the Bible?

MSB: From time to time, yes.

JW: Well that's wonderful! And what do you think about the stuff you read about?

MSB: I dunno. Sometimes I think I want to be a better bunny but then I have doubts.

JW: What do you have doubts about?

MSB: I wonder if I want to be better because it's what is right and it's what I should do or if it's just because I'm just afraid of going to Hell.

JW: Well, you don't have to worry about THAT.*

MSB: No?

JW: *beaming* No! God loves us too much to send any to Hell. People don't spend eternity in Hell.

MSB: Really?

JW: Really.

MSB: Wow...

...well, see you at the titty bar.

*close door*

JW doctrine teaches lost souls do not reside in Hell for eternity, they are simply annihilation.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."
