Robbery Suspect Severely Beaten

Phoenix police said Saturday that an armed man wearing a Halloween mask was severely beaten by a group of people he tried to rob at gunpoint.

Justin James Pare, 33, allegedly broke into a north Phoenix apartment through a kitchen window late Friday night and confronted a man inside, Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Hill said.

Neighbors then jumped on Pare and hit him with a bat and wooden board, causing his mask to come off. Pare was able to escape in his car, but patrol officers quickly tracked him down.

Tomorrow's headline: "Vigilanties arrested over beating alleged robber. ACLU will be investigating."

Darwin Award potential?

After all, he brought two guns to a wooden stick fight... and lost!

Am I going to Hell for joking about a man with life threatening injuries? Well anyway, if you can't take a bat to the head, stay out of the robbery business.

Meh, I was going to Hell for totally different reasons anyway.  :p
"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."
