Mexican activists place 5,100 crosses at border fence

TIJUANA, Mexico (AP) — Rights activists in the northern Mexican border city of Tijuana have hung 5,100 small white crosses on the fence straddling the U.S. frontier to commemorate migrants who have died trying to cross.

The protest coincides with preparations for Mexico's Nov. 1 Day of the Dead holiday. The crosses represent the number of migrants estimated to have died in the 15 years since the United States toughened border security.

The Mexican government estimates about 350,000 of its citizens migrate to the U.S. annually.

Don't want to die crossing the border becasuse it's too dangerous with no water, etc. then here's an idea....DON'T CROSS THE BORDER!

5100 over 15 years is a minuscule number compared to the number of Mexicans dying in their own country from the drug wars there.

We should stack the crosses 8 feet thick and 25 feet high...

...and top them with razor wire.


THAT would prevent this tragedy from happening again. It's a win-win.

Who gives a sh*t how many illegal alien invaders died trying to get here!  The corrupt mexican government has been exporting its poverty to this nation for more than three decades.  And our corrupt government has been doing almost nothing about it!

I was disappointed to read that they were hung on the fence, I was hoping they were driven into the ground so we could string barbed wire between them.
