I grew up on a farm that was 30 miles from anything like a police station, fire station, hospital or grocery store. We had coyotes everywhere. My dad actually got a video of one snatching a chicken right out of our yard. (He happened to be taping the dumb little rooster crowing.)
That said, I have never in my life heard of a coyote attacking a human. Occasionally, there would be one assumed to be rabid that didn't run off fast enough...but it always ended up with a swift case of dead.
Of course, that may be WHY I've never heard of them attacking a human. Where I grew up, if you saw them, you shot them.
When are all the liberal whackos going to figure out that humans just don't have any natural defenses? If we allow the wild things to figure that out, they
are going to eat us. Duh!!
