Tulsa becomes crossroads for child sex trafficking
America is now the number one destination in the world for child sex trafficking, according to the State Department Bureau of Justice Statistics.
Sex trafficking of modern-day slaves is at an all-time high and larger U.S. cities are major markets for this illegal sex trade industry.
On Oct. 21 and 22, specialists from around the nation will convene in Tulsa to hold Oklahoma’s first Human Trafficking Awareness and Training Conference....
...Recent findings from Law enforcement agencies, non-profit anti-trafficking organizations and Shared Hope International indicate that Houston is now the number one city for child sex trafficking, with Las Vegas and Atlanta ranking second and third.
According to FBI experts, traffickers are known to move their victims from state to state to avoid being detected.
“Our highway systems have become the new slave trade routes of these modern-day sex slaves,†said Mark Elam, of Oklahomans Against Trafficking Humans.
With Interstates 40 and 44 connecting the east and west coasts and I-35 connecting Mexico and Houston to northern cities, Oklahoma is right in the crossroads of this growing problem....

1. That's because we have so many repukes and their kind here. Why do you think they like large families? Built-in sex partners.

4. Frightening
It's like we're becoming a feral nation. Like Britain. What on earth is happening. This is completely illogical and irrational.
And it all started with the primitives.

9. it isnt ill logical, and it isnt irrational. we have watched it develop the last decade
if any body speaks out they are called names, chastized, how dare rock the boat.
it is all good
it has been clear in the development. just something we dont want to address, nor take responsibility for.
Yeah, the primitives certainly don't want to take responsibility for themselves.

5. There's Almost Nothing, Here, That Can't Be Justified in the Name of "Business"
Organized, underground illicit activity?
The only difference between what these people do and what Wall St does, IMO, is Wall St. has a better PR machine and has 1/3 of the population as complicit stockholders.

3. Yeah, and people can buy as many guns as they want.
so it has nothing to do with gun control.
(Sorry for the disconnect, but this is because of an earlier post.)

12. I'm a guy and when I hear shit like this, I'm half tempted to drive around the country looking for people doing this so I can do something awful and terrible to them before the cops show up and give them their slap on the wrist of 5-15 years or so. In my world, people like this justify torture. If more pedophiles knew that if caught they would be shipped to some god forsaken backwards country and tortured to death, I think business wouldn't be so big for these assholes. Maybe that isn't the Progressive way to handle something like this.
You know, a lot of these rich corporate assholes that are running the country are into this shit. That's why they keep it so safe to do it.

13. this environment is being fed to grow. and grow it does. it is our society and culture producing and feeding this at every turn. encouraged. demanded.
Yeah. It's a matter of record that the primitives encourage and demand this sort of thing.

8. We know this is going on
Yet we never read about any of these rings being busted.
A TV show on the Brooklyn Russian Mafia recently showed a gangster laughing about his sex slave trade.
He sold a child to a buyer in California and thought it was amusing. He really enjoyed his $60K profit.
It's sickening!
The cops are too busy chasing pot smokers to bust these vermin.
Sometimes the cops nab two birds with one stone; getting someone who's both a dopehead and a child molester.

The trafficking's probably done by illegal aliens, who aren't Americans.

16. Of course. There's a reason we are so puritanical and vocal about it. ro
If we treated sex and nudity as normal things that you can do (safely), maybe people wouldn't have such screwed-up attitudes about sex. Also, if prostitution was legalized it would help. You cannot legislate morality.

18. see a ****in boob and just how "normal" is it treated? male regress to 11 and act like complete asses. as people keep telling us it is the prudes that have issue with nude, i suggest people that act like what i see on du to have pretty huge issue with nudity themselves.
lets blame all this on the right and the prudes and not address any of the real issues.

19. Making prostitution legal doesn't solve the problem.
There are people who have been so BRAINWASHED into thinking prostitution is a "victimless" crime, thanks to the likes of Phil Donahue and Geraldo Rivera glamorizing in the 1970s and 1980s what amounts to a human rights violation.
I don't know how to get this across to people who don't truly understand WHAT prostitution is. It is NOT "sex work," it is not a "career," or a "profession"; it is a human rights violation.
Prostitutes in Nevada's legal brothels live in almost slave-like conditions.
The way to solve the problem is to go after the people who exploit others, i.e., the johns and the pimps. Go after the demand side, not the supply side. If there were no demand, there would be no supply.
Sweden has done this, and prostitution has been reduced greatly.
