10. Not so sure.
Reform/PO/single payer is a no-brainer as most anyone in all the other western democracies will tell you. Opposition to it is therefore not based in reality but is rather almost entirely political/ideological. The blind supporters of the "Party of No" may just keep blindly saying NO.

What I'm waiting for is to see how many of that first state's poor and uninsured/uninsurable pack up and leave that state for greener pastures where the public option is offered.

Ok, so the states POOR who cannot afford to move to find a damn JOB will pack up and move to a state so they can have 'Free' health insurance.

Poor, poor DUmmie.  Too stupid to see the irony of your own post.

Greener pastures...:rotf:...they won't be so green after the locust land.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

NY Post today reports that 1.1 million have left NYC to escape high taxes, replaced by low-income people.

And this is why we will never see the opt out.  They have to have, MUST HAVE our money.  As has been stated before .... they won't allow the opt out because it won't work.  No money, no free stuff.  Funny how that works.

Now, the Sandhills of Nebraska are far from Canada, but we're directly underneath Canada, and so one encounters many Canadians.

The ones from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, are always griping about something called "equalization" up there, where they, the wealthier provinces more careful with their money, are compelled to support the wastrel provinces.

It's sort of like as if Nebraska had to make up for California's shortfalls.

I just can't wait.

Why?

Because, assuming the PO works...

And here we stop.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

I know someone who lives in Alberta. She has a son with special needs. He's prone to seizures as part of his problems. A couple of years ago he had several violent ones that were beyond the norm. He was taken to the Doc in March. His Doctor was very concerned and applied for an emergency MRI. They were quick with an answer. She was told within 2 weeks that the MRI was approved and scheduled for.....mid November.

She went to Seattle mid summer and had it done for free after applying for help with some Christian Charitable Organization.....2 weeks after she applied.

Yep, sign me up for some of that good old fashioned Canadian socialized medicine the DUmmies are all frothing at the mouth about.  :mental:

My wife had an eye appointment in July and the  ophthalmologist saw something and wanted an MRI done. That was on Thursday, she had the MRI the next day. Fortunately nothing showed up, and when the eye doctor looked the next week, there was nothing there.  My wife had some blurriness in the for a week or so.

People are kidding themselves if they actually think that there's going to be an opt-out provision. Oh, I'm sure you'll be able to opt out of the services, but you WILL NOT be able to opt out of the taxation necessary to support our government's latest, greatest pyramid scheme.

I thought that we don't even get the option until 2014, when it will of course be too late? because once government tentacles are into something, it's an eternal chokehold.
