I'll be the last to condemn someone for saying something inappropriate while angry and drinking.  You obviously regret it enough to try and rectify it.  I don't have any beef.

Back when the folks here were mostly "Conservative Underground" folks, I did something like that.

Someone was talking about hypocrisy and the use of the N-word. (something I was always taught not to use, and don't) However, when some of the same guys were in a separate thead I joined by saying something like, "hey N'ers wat up". Or, something goofy like that anyway. Bugged me for some time as both wrong to do and fear of being misunderstood.

People seemed to let it go and though I didn't see the post you are talking about, I'm happy to let it go. I think your true self comes out in the long run with online friends and your a good egg. I happen to have a large family and have cousins who are half Burmese and some who are half Korean. My SIL is both Polish and socialist and I could not love her more.


No worries man. People here are not so PC and judgemental and we learn to get along. Extra slack for Marine's.  :cheersmate:

The real "bad eggs" get tossed in due time.

I disgraced the Uniform. I temporariy  forgot that being a Marine meant protecting the rights of ALL people.

I't won't happen again. When a Marine makes an ass of himself it's his duty to face those he did to and apologise.

CM, I think that if we were all asked the question, "Who among us has not made a post they later regret," I think maybe the hands of the Coach and BadCat would be the only two to go up.  Coach because I think that he thinks almost everything through before he posts, and BadCat because I think he really doesn't care if he pisses people off (a quality I wish I had, BTW).

Besides, from my limited exposure to Marines/soldiers/sailors/airmen/Guardsmen, I've observed that, even though someone may say something not PC, when the chips are down and said person is right there with them helping them out, attitudes change.
