Your award-winning bush has been plucked?  I'm shocked.

I think the term you are looking for is deflowered.  :p

Nope, I already told you that I fold them like the professionals.... I even throw in a few fresh rose petals  between the layers to give it fragrance. Yep, I pluck a few petals from my award winning Rose bushes.  :lmao:
It's simpler to buy them already dried.   :-)

You all are laundry losers.

Tonight is clean sheet night by the way. I  am laying in my gloriously clean bed that smells of original scent Downey. I know y'all are so jealous.   :p
Not really.    I usually hang the sheets out.  They come in smelling just exactly right, the way clean sheets should smell.  Especially this time of year, they come back in all crispy.  Downey is only for the worst part of winter, because frozen sheets are no fun!!   :-)

People have more than one set of sheets?  Y'all are rich!

 :-)

I don't remember folding the contoured sheets with the former Mrs. any special way.  Must have been a Wisconsin thing.

I voted no...buit I kinda do...they just don't look nice.   I nicley fold the regula sheet and pillow cases that go with the set, then I "fold" the fitted sheet as well as I can, then tuck it and the pillow cases inside the flat sheet, making a package of all the matching bedding.  That way I don't have to try to find separate pieces.

The other day, in preparation for the long cold days of winter, I emptied the linen closets and washed all that was therein.  Some of these things hadn't even been used since the last time I laundered them, and in fact, some of these things have been washed, more than used.

It's just a habit of mine, wanting to be confident things are clean; a trauma left over from the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all, in which case clothes were more likely to rot from dirt before one could wash them.

Anyway.

Contour bed-sheets have always been a problem for me.  My mother used to successfully fold them, and fold them flat and even and square, but not being observant when my mother was around, I didn't pay attention to how she did it.

When I fold them, they end up uneven and lumpy.

So I no longer fold them; I just bend them in half lengthwise, and then bend them in half again, and put them on clothes-hangers.  It looks more tidy that way.

P.S.  I suppose in some areas of the country, contour sheets are called "fitted sheets," in case one is confused by the terminology.
Hang them on clothes hangers????...never heard of that one...and Im OLD!...lol

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Satin sheets are nice and cool in the summer, but the top slides around too much.

I didn't find an answer that suited what I do with the dang things.  I take two corners, pull them together, then take the opposite ones and pull them together, then I wrap them around my forearms and roll.  They look like crap, but just dang.  I have a big ole aversion to folding properly, as that was one of my main chores in my youth, and if I didn't do it right, I had to do it all over.  Now I answer to no one but me, so as long as I can get it mushed all together, and stuffed in my linen closet, it's all good with me.

We need a "The Joooooooos do it." option.

That is exactly how I "fold" them too! :cheersmate:

I wad it up in a ball and toss it in the linen closet.
Me too.  Although my process more or less resembles a taffy pulling machine.

Frank, I started working when I was 12 years old at a motel laundry.... good grief, what a flea bag. Anyway, it was $1.85/hr, which was awesome compared to babysitting at $.75/hr.

So, yes, I folded fitted sheets and I used a mangle on the pillow cases. I have folded 100 of 1000s of sheets in my lifetime.... I have folded diapers.... you name it I have folded it.

As Deb said, tuck the corners all together, fold over the adjacent edges to make the edges square, then keep on folding until you get to the desired size to stow on your shelf.

Well in that case...

Good suggestion. Since the soil scientist seems to have found another source of hog manure, I think coach should put in an order for Maria, from Odessa, in the Bathing Beauties section. She appears to be one who could fold the hell out of your sheets.
