after which a photograph of some stacked Burger King hamburger

Burger King Japan selling Windows 7 burgers

Microsoft has taken the unusual step of promoting Windows 7 in Japan with Burger King's launch of a Windows 7 Whopper. Fitting in with the software theme, the burger stacks seven patties in an otherwise normal Whopper and measures 5.1 inches tall. It also has an appropriate 777 yen ($8.53) price.

The stunt isn't unique for Microsoft's Windows 7 launch, which in the run-up to Thursday's introduction has repeated the "seven" theme in multiple publicity events; it launched a giveaway of the new OS for every resident of the Dutch village of Zevenhuizen ("Seven Houses") and decorated parts of the Spanish village Sietes ("Sevens") in Windows-themed colors.

The campaign contrasts sharply against the more traditional ads of Vista and earlier Windows releases, highlighting Microsoft's desire to turn around its public image.

5. It looks more like a spoof then a stunt. Does it give you seven heart attacks too.

7. You could take that thing home with a bag of rice and feed your entire family for a week.

Or you could eat it all by yourself for lunch and

Ugh. Windows and Burger King. It makes me queasy just to look at that.

10. Awesome!

I don't think I could eat it all in one sitting, but it sure looks good for a gimmick.

18. Don't they have Graphic Designers in Japan?

The poster design is uglier than the concept. Real amateur job.

I thought this one was pretty appropriate.... :uhsure:
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.

Nice to see that you can still feed a family of 4 for under $10.
According to the Bible, "know" means "yes."

There was a bunch of buy one get one free coupons in the circular this week. I might use some.
