Anita Dunn: How We Created Obama's Cult of Personality

For months NewsBusters has been reporting how the media aided and abetted the creation of Barack Obama's Cult of Personality leading to his eventual election as the 44th President of the United States.

Eight days before his inauguration, Obama's Fox News-hating communications director Anita Dunn and his digital strategist Ben Self, while at a conference in the Dominican Republic hosted by the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development, confirmed the allegation in a tutorial they gave to President Leonel Fernandez and other government officials and guests on how to turn an unknown politician into a messiah.

On Sunday, World News Daily uncovered one of the nine videos recorded that day which gave clues as to how the Obama campaign successfully manipulated

I still feel really, really frustrated when I hear  "breaking news" about President Obama and how manipulative his campaign was.  As soon as I knew that he was a serious candidate and checked his background, it was painfully clear that he had no substantive resume and that he was clearly a Marxist.  At heart, he does not have American values and is taking this country in the wrong direction.

I can't help but think that Anita Dunn is going to be another nail in the Obama administration coffin.

She is basically coming right out and saying "the media is dumb, we manipulated them to do what we wanted them to do....and they did it."

While MSM might admit to a few mistakes.....they don't want it thrown up into their collective faces that they have been used, manipulated, abused.....by someone else.

They want to think that they are the ones doing the using, manipulating and abusing.

They want the general public to be the dumb ones....not themselves.

Anita Dunn may have been more effective than we are giving her credit.

She, and through her....the Obama administration.... may have just really pissed off the MSM....as it has now been blatantly admitted by Dunn  that they certainly pissed on the MSN.

No "reporter" ever wants to have to admit they have been duped....let alone have it known by anybody else.

Bingo, Deb. Excellent post. Why this critter would deliberately antagonize the entities that are literally providing her career is a real puzzler. One can rack it up to just plain stupidity, but I'm not buying that. Say what you want about the present administration, they are collectively not stupid people. So if they're not stupid, and they're saying incredibly harmful things (potentially) to their cause, do they say these things because they've grown de-sensitized to the amount of media attention that they command, simply for being part of the administration?

In other words, are these mistakes from rookies that are happening with 9 months under their belts? Or is there a different agenda?

I've grown cynical. I think the cult of personality is exactly what a lot of people want in a President. Amazing what you can accomplish in < 40 years when you take over the educational system, eh?

I think you are right Carl, it's extreme arrogance.

As things stand right now....there is nothing....nothing....that has been done in the last 9 months to give cause for impeachment.

Nor do I think there will be anything in the future.

Obama and his Merry Band of Idiots....will walk a very fine line to keep from stepping over the line to give the American Public any reason to impeach him.

Under those circumstances.....O and his MB of I WILL be able to continue on, just as they are, for the next 3 YEARS AND 3 MONTHS!!!!

As long as no one can PROVE any laws are broken....

You've heard that the WH has leaked that Anita will be gone by the end of the year........she is out there as a sacrificial lamb for the most part, as the admministration will be able to dismiss her credibility.....pretty shrewd in my opinion......

She will likely then get a big contract as a pundit on CNN.......

Methinks that you are assuming that members of the media labor under some standards of ethics and professionality........take it from someone that was in the TV business for a number of years........they have neither......

What kind of people would shove a camera and mic in the face of a grieving family that just lost a child to a drive-by.........I had a number of this type of scum in various stations that I've managed over the years, and generally fired them all........got me crappy ratings right along with it.......

Right at the top of the list of reasons why I am retired......
