A frightening sight on a sunday drive

Yesterday my wife and I drove through the center of the town where we grew up. We are still shaken by something we would never have believed possible in this small Oregon town. As I drove toward the city center on a Sunday afternoon, my eye was drawn to a red swastika on the sidewalk to my right. I then noticed the white armband that was its background and the black uniform it adorned. I soon realized that it was one of at least a dozen worn by people far too young to understand the loathing this symbol elicits. This casual group gathered in front of a modest home might just as well have been a joyful wedding party or the congregation of a church emerging from services in their Sunday best. There were no cameras. This was not a scene being filmed.

The only reason I can think these people would so openly wear the trappings of consummate evil with such pride is the climate of fear and hate that is being nurtured by the well paid oracles of ignorance. Had the majority not elected a black president, they would never have had the temerity to flaunt their apparent admiration of the darkest figures of history. Somehow they must believe that a democracy could not possibly elect a leader whose skin was not a color they can accept. Along with the great hope that comes with the change we have chosen, we must be prepared to confront a very sinister resistance to even the most positive steps forward.

Oregon Nazis, not quite as heinous as the dreaded Illinois Nazis...
I hate Illinois Nazis

A bunch of people standing around outside dressed in Nazi outfits?  And such a spectacle wasn't caught?  With almost every phone having a camera, and the value of such a shot to certain media outlets, someone would most certainly have gotten this shot.  It's a stupid story, with the last paragraph being exceptionally retarded and gooey-eyed.   "Great hope that comes with the change we have chosen."  Hurl.  It's almost mole-like.

10. Fascists historically detest democracy, period. It doesn't matter which president there is.

They probably never gave a shit about the office of president no matter who was sitting in it.

People like them hate democracy, something they cannot control. They would rather abolish the presidency and congress and institute a one-party dictatorship. If they could repeat the destruction of the Weimar Republic here on America's shores, they most certainly will try. Their whole ideology is built around control of others and division of the populace against itself in order to gain power.

Wow, this DUmmie hit the nail on the head in describing the current administration and it's backers.

You mean this DUmb**** passed up an opportunity to substantiate conservatives-are-Nazis claims?  He should be tombstoned.
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.   ~Robert A. Heinlein

Huh, I thought our side was more about being left the hell alone, while theirs clamors to have the goobermint be everything to everyone.  Strange...

I had a bad dream that the White House communications dorector and the Productivity Czar praised Mao.....

what?

That is real?

In this day and age it is amazing to me that people would vote for acolytes of the evils of communism.

But you know, FGL, this time it will totally be different.   :whatever:

Does everyone have to write like an English Lit major? Sheesh! Think of the illiterate or under educated denizen that inhabit the camp.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

They're nothing compared to Surf Nazis.  They must die.
Surf Nazis can't hold a candle to Soup Nazis. They should burn in hell.
Then, of course, there are the dreaded Bunny Nazis.

Actually, I think this whole bouncy tale was constructed after the last sentence. DUmmy FightingIrish worked a couple of days on the last sentence to come up with something that perfectly DUmb, then slapped together the imaginary stormtroopers as a lead in.

...and here I thought DUmmies were all about, "Don't judge people by what they look like(or wear)."

Mod to add....When I finally go rightwing berzerk as the DUmmies accuse me of, I think I'll go with the KKK...old bedsheets have got to be a lot cheaper than Nazi uniforms.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
