Oh my.

The fastidiously dandified primitive, the large-proboscised primitive, all decked out in ruffles and frills, has been reading the contents of the bowl of his commode again, like others read tea-leaves, so as to know the future.

"Leave the gun. Take the salsa."

What I'm getting at here is, what will W's final words be when/if he boards that chopper to depart the White House for the last time?

(Regarding Cheney, we know there will be no words at all. Just a malignant smile.)

My own take on his what his final (confidential) order will be is: "Rip the letter O off all the computer keyboards."

So let's hear your take on what the imbecile's last words will be as he stumbles off into the sunset.

The bonfire's just gotten underway; not many primitives there yet.

2. Oh, I'm absolutely certain there will be all kinds of vandalism during the last days. It's in the Republican playbook to exagerate or invent slights and offenses by the Democrats, then to respond by escalating the conflict.

Prime example: Dick Tuck positioned pregnant women at Nixon's rallies holding up signs bearing his slogan: "Nixon's the One!" Nixon's response 12 years later; the Plumbers and Watergate.

I thought John Dean ordered the break in to protect his girlfriend or mistress.

I thought John Dean ordered the break in to protect his girlfriend or mistress.

That's according to the work that's bound to be the final definitive word on Watergate, Silent Coup; a wonderful and meticulously researched book.  All the principals excepting Richard Nixon and Alexander Haig were interviewed (this was during the late 1980s)--everybody from John Mitchell to John Dean to John Erlichman to John Sirica to Sam Ervin to Bob Woodward to Charles Colson; the whole lot of them.

The whole cast of characters, excepting two; the list is enormously long, and of course it helped that by the time the two writers did their research, all statutes of limitations had expired, and so everyone involved was free to spill beans.

It's a very long--monstrously long--and complicated book, Silent Coup, but I have all the confidence that after the passions are dead, Silent Coup will be considered by succeeding generations as "the" book that tells all, that tells all the truth, about Watergate.

And you know, sir, it concludes pretty the same as I had always (sort of speculated); this stupid "compartmentalization" of "information."

The writers clearly demonstrated Watergate happened because John Dean wanted to protect his go-go girl girlfriend, and Alexander Haig wanted to obstruct any relations with Red China.

That's apparently all it was, but this stupid "compartmentalization" of "information" led to all sorts of unanticipated events and unexpected consequences.

You see, that's what astoundingly unoriginal and singularly unimaginitive people do -- repeat the same joke.

It's like a blonde, who, upon hearing a blonde joke, gets offended and tells the exact same joke, substituting "brunette" for "blonde".

Bitter and not at all funny.  That pretty much sums up the DUmp.

Thanks for that fine summation, Frank.  I meant to look up this book a few years ago when someone, perhaps you, mentioned it someplace else.

I think I remember when this book first came out seeing the author, or one of the authors, interviewed on Good Morning America.

I have a subscription to the Audible book club, I will have to see if that book is among the selections.

Liberalism Is The Philosophy Of The Stupid

The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years.  The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

But, it is so cute when they do that. I especially like it when they try to their version of the ant and grasshopper.  :lmao:
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.
