(CNSNews.com) – Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says she has “never” wished that she could be the one making the decisions facing President Obama, and she insisted she will not run for president again.

In what is believed to be her first unequivocal, public disavowal of still harboring presidential ambitions, Clinton laughed and answered “no” when asked directly on the NBC’s Today show, “Will you ever run for president again?”
 
“No, no, no,” she told interviewer Ann Curry. “I mean, this [being secretary of state] is a great job. It is a 24/7 job, and I’m looking forward to retirement at some point.”

If we get through these next 3+ years, we won't be seeing a Democrat in the White House for a long, long time.  She's just remembering her history of cyclical politics (Carter, anyone?).

A democrat in the White House always sounds good in theory.  It's always a disaster in reality.  It's a mistake that keeps getting repeated as soon as the horror of the last democrat president fades.  That fading is made possible by the ability of the American anti-American Left to play with history the way one plays with Silly Putty.

We are to believe the stolen election of 1960 and the political problems of the eliminated-by-the-left JFK were non-existent and he was actually a mortal god of some sort, once bound for re-election by a landslide in 1964.

We are to believe the one-term suicide of LBJ was a major step forward for this nation.

We are to believe the one-term embarrassment known as Jimmah Cartah is a major intellectual.

We are to believe the Perot-inspired 42%er, the Original Teenager President, Bill Clinton was the most popular president since FDR.

Now we are to believe our current little ACORN-installed mental midget *IS* FDR, only better.

Hillary Clinton has made her first, and last, run for the presidency.

The secretary of state replied “no” when asked in an interview that aired this morning on NBC’s “Today” show whether she’ll run again.

“This is a great job,” Clinton said of being secretary of state. “It is a 24/7 job. And I’m looking forward to retirement at some point.”

Of course just like Brett Favre's retirement announcements, politicians often say one thing but do another.

But Clinton said she doesn’t spend her time thinking about what she’d do if she had won the election.

“I have to tell you, it never crosses my mind,” she said.

Clinton also blasted reports that she has a diminished role in the Obama cabinet.

“I find it absurd,” Clinton said. “I find it beyond any realistic assessment of what I’m doing every day ... Maybe there is some misunderstanding which needs to be clarified.”

She said the misunderstanding stems from how she operates.

“I believe in delegating power,” Clinton said.
