CNN VIDEO: Warning Actual 911 Audio Play of Him Being Shot by the Cops, As Well As Interview with His Wife

:o :o :o Holy Crap!  :o

Quote from: ABC15
PHOENIX – The Phoenix Police Department is responding to a September 2008 incident that led a Phoenix homeowner to sue the city and police department.

Tony Arambula is seeking $5.75 million in damages for himself and his family after he was shot by police on September 17, 2008 when officers responded to a call about an intruder inside his central Phoenix home.

Phoenix Police Spokesperson Tommy Thompson said in a press release this week that officers responded to a call at Arambula's Phoenix home, but "after entering the residence, one of the officers mistakenly shot the armed home owner."

Arambula now alleges while at his home that night, officers conspired to cover up the mistake.

Michael Manning, Arambula's attorney, said the 911 tape helps prove the claim.

There's something missing from this.  Almost every time something like this happens, they mention that so and so is an X Number of years veteran of the force.  Not here though. Was Officer Lily a rookie?  It does sound the police were going to try and cover this up.

I can't believe that this cop was cleared after the investigation.  I hope this homeowner gets every damn penny he is suing for.

Agreed based on my limited knowledge of the incident it sounds like the cop lost it under pressure.

Have they started training cops to shoot anyone with a gun?

I think even if the story went down exactly as the police describe they still owe the homeowner a couple mill just as their way of saying "Hey guy, no hard feelings, right?" *chin chuck*

This is what you get when you call the police for help instead of defending yourself.

It would have been better for all if the home owner had just shot and killed the intruder and then called the cops.

In the back at that.
