“The Power of the Poor with Hernando de Soto†airs Oct. 8 at 10:00 pm ET on PBS. Produced by Free to Choose Media and funded by the John Templeton Foundation, the documentary posits – and proves – a simple, powerful hypothesis: fair, unfettered access to the market economy will lift millions of the world’s people out of poverty and inoculate them against extremism.

Well, no, I don't believe one program like the above can make a nework fair or balanced. Worse, I just checked my local Yahoo TV guide and the show does not even appear to be airing in my neck of the woods. (and I have 6 PBS stations) Still, props for whichever PBS stations allow this view to see the light of day. It may be too little and too late to change my opinion of government TV but at least some stations may do the right thing.
