Accountability? Perhaps the citizens of Detroit should start with themselves. She's right, it didn't have to be that way. Civilized people don't generally act like that. People can make their own assumptions from what I've said from there, but the bottom line is both individual accountability and civilized behavior would have done a lot to prevent what happened there. And THIS is the world liberals would relegate all of us too. **** them!

Every ****nuts tin-pot dictator who's ever imported communism to his country at the point of a gun looked at myriad of failed socialist states and at some point decided, "I can suceed where they failed".  The more I see shit like this, the more I think that Dear Leader spent a lot of time studying the bread lines, etc. of the former Soviet Union, and thought to himself, "Yes, I can!"

Some of those people will be suffering genuine temporary hardship and for those I'm sure many people have sympathy. The rest of them, who got up at 5.30 or whenever to start lining up at the crack of dawn, would have been better served by doing that on a regular basis for several years in order to get and keep a job.

Lived in Rochester Hills, and worked in both New Center, as well as downtown for three years........during that time, I personally had 16 vehicles vandalized, two stolen outright, my wife a victim of an attempted assult, and my best friend, who lived in a townhouse a few blocks west of New Center, murdered in his bed, and his wife beaten and raped.......

Another friend, an attorney for a law firm in the RenCen, was carjacked and beaten so badly coming out of his parking deck that he is in a wheelchair yet today, with little possibility of recovery.......

Oh, and by the way.......none of the aforementioned crimes have ever been solved........

Please don't lecture me on conditions in the lovely City of Detroit.......

BTW......I also lived there in the mid-sixties, when it was really a nice place to be.....spent many a Saturday night dragging Woodward Ave.....fond memories, but alas, no more........

Within the past few months I had read about the crime rates in Detroit dropping, not because crime is going down, but just because the cops are not answering calls and not filing reports.
