Napalitano puts brakes on Arizona Sherriff

Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio says he will continue his controversial "crime suppression operations" despite a Department of Homeland Security decision to strip him of authority to arrest suspected illegal immigrants based solely on their immigration status, the East Valley Tribune reports.

“It’s all politics,” says Arpaio, sheriff of Maricopa County.

Arpaio will still have the power to check the immigration status of people booked by his officers, but not the authority to conduct street patrols looking for illegal immigrants.

His “crime suppression operations” are saturation patrols in designated areas where deputies would find illegal immigrants by stopping them for traffic infractions and minor violations, the paper says.

When one realizes that the Obamination isn't doing things to further the interests of the United States of American, but to further the Democrat Party's control over the interests (and people) of the United States of America, it all makes sense.  Remember Rahm Emanuel's statement how "one should never let a good crisis go to waste?"  If they let enough illegals in to the country, a few things will happen:  1) The health care/social services systems of the country will be overloaded.  2) The possibility of a real, no-shit terrorist (or terrorists) getting into the country is driven through the roof.  3) Enough people are going to say, "No more!"  And there will be a no-shit uprising.  Any one of these three would be termed a "crisis."  Combine two of them, it's a huge one.  All three?      It's on!  There will be a lot of dead people when all is said and done.

What can we do about it?  There's 2010, when I think very near 100 seats in the House of Representatives will change from Democrat to Republican.  12 Senators, too.  2012 is coming, too . . . which will begin a long, long period of conservative dominance.

The current oval office asshat is doing more to destroy the US than any previous president in the history of the republic bar none.

But on the plus side, he is going about it in such a blantant manner that normally apathetic folks are sitting up and taking notice.  They are not only saying "NO", they are saying "NO ****ING WAY" in large numbers.

In the long run it might be a good thing.  For the last 4-5 decades there has been an incremental drift toward socialism.

Obama came along and went whole hog.  Folks are now paying attention.  This could be a net gain.
