Packers vs Vikings

Holy Shit!
What a game. Farve looked like he was early 30s and Rogers had his career high game.

Eight Sacks by the Vikings, one for a fumble and one for a touchback.

Farve keeps playing like this (he'll be fourty next week) the Vikings will be in the playoffs!

(now I need to get a viking jersey)

I heard that a Milwaukee bar was to have a "Burn your Favre Jersey" promo Monday night.  The fire marshall had to put a cap on the amount, as they were concerned for the safety of the neighborhood.  Man, that has to sting somewhere.
R.I.P. LC and Crockspot.  Miss you guys.

Favre can still make the throws. He was throwing cross-field, 20 yard out routes like darts. Ted Thompson looks like one dumb SOB right now.

ETA: BTW, WTF is Dom Capers doing having Aaron Kampman drop into coverage 1/2 the time? The guy is a ruthless three-point pass rusher and he has him covering TE's and RB's.

Sure, if he decides he's going to play for you this year. Just don't rush that decision until sometime in mid-August.  The rest of you slugs on the team just cool your jets till then.

Put him under the same kind of pressure as Rodgers was under and see how that works out.  He most likely wouldn't have made it to the third quarter, and those "darts" might be a bit dull.  The consensus of the guys I talked to today in Green Bay THANK G*D that Thompson had the guts to stick with Rodgers.  The annual kabuki dance with Favre got old several years ago.

Agreed there.

I think he earned that kind of status as being the face of franchise during the 90's and 2000's at least for a couple of retirements/reactivations.

Had Favre stayed in GB it would've been a different scenario. Most of the free agency and draft moves would've centered around the offensive line's talent/depth and not the defensive player signings and drafting of Raji, Matthews, etc. A "win now" approach instead of a "build" one.
