Monday, the 1-day weekend
« on: October 05, 2009, 06:51:57 AM »
"Slept in" until 5:30 this morning, since the dog won't let himself out.  Fall is defintely here.  Highs around 60, lows in the upper-30's and low-40's, leaves are almost peaking, and I've got errands to run this afternoon.

Aside from that, no chance of taking a nap today--too much coffee already.

Then back to the grind tomorrow.  What's new in the CC world?

Not working today...have a dentist appointment in about an hour.   Also have a kid home sick.  Don't think it's the flu, as it came on gradually, but she's feeling pretty crappy.  I think its a sinus infection.

My goal is to get her healthy and keep everyone else healthy through this coming weekend...too much going on to have anyone sick!

Weather is nice here today...high of about 70, and sunny.  Friday is supposed to be in the 50's though.

Up all night again.     Good thing I married the boss.  :-) Hopefully I'll get a nap in sometime.

A nice cool clear morning so far.  It was only 39 this morning with a predicted high of 70.

Checking on cob webs. Yupo, I let the suckers grow in the summer so I know where the drafts are coming in in the fall.

I have saddled up caulk gun in hand and am ready to attack all the too small to see cracks letting in cold air.

Got the sewing machine out, going to make for $3.00 those draft stoppers for under doors that sell for $20.00+ shipping and handling on TV.

Nothing motivates one more then preparing for winter.

Say Sparky what kind of dog do you have.?    Reason I ask is there are times I can see you with a well trained Rottie, other times with a with a small dog tucked in your coat pocket.----------What ever, I bet my Maine Coon Cat can put a big wooping on your dog.

Monday is Friday... I have the day off tomorrow.  Maybe it won't rain.  Or maybe I'll get sick from the offgassing VOC's in my car.  I have no idea what the hell I did other than spray some Rustoleum onto the undercarriage, or the carpet I removed could have had something underneath it.  Blech.  I feel ill. :p

Oh well.  Back to work.  I hate these people. :bird:

Trying to get through the morning, which will lead to trying to get through the day which will lead to trying to get through the week, etc, etc, etc...

It is only about 42 degrees right now, which is much colder than I'm used to.  Autumn is definitely here.  Upper 60's to low 70's later today.  I enjoyed my weekend very much and am not looking forward to going to work.  I don't get day off until Thanksgiving.

I'm going to be tutoring the neighbor boy on his math this evening.  Apparently his teachers want him in the special ed class, but his mom is hoping to avoid that.

 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Still sprinky dinkin' here after it poured for hours last night.

Working on reports this morning. Have to go by the office to pick up a commission check from Friday's closing, go to the bank and take my checking account off of life support. Should go to grocery store...came up with an idea on how to cook a pork loin that's "weather appropriate". :-)
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

I finally found out what that wretched stink was coming from my car (it wasn't me).  That's the last time I pick up someone else's discarded air freshener while cleaning up the parking lot.  Damn, that thing was nasty.  Don't these people smell air fresheners before they buy them?  Damn thing smelled like ass dissolved in gasoline.

Which one of these did you pick up?

No, it was one of those round ones that looks like a can of chewing tobacco they sell near the register at Auto Zone.  Good guess, though.

If I had to look at that air freshner everytime I got into my car I would want to drive off the closest bridge

Well, here's how my day went.  Sometimes, I just hate people.
