Quote
From Michelle Obama’s failed pitch to the International Olympic Committee:

“Some of my best memories are sitting on my dad’s lap, cheering on Olga and Nadia, Carl Lewis, and others for their brilliance and perfection.”

Um. Ew. Oof.

Mrs. Obama was 20 years old when Lewis first competed in the Olympics in 1984.

Even if it was 1976....ewwwwwww.

But hey, Al Gore's mother sang him the union label song when she tucked him in.  AT AGE 27!  I suppose after that, anything's possible.

They're spinning "poor judgment" from their advisors now for the failure.  Probably not a good idea to go there since he still has to listen to those advisors helping him run this country and fighting two wars. :whatever:

Also, total cost for this little trip for the Obamas is up to 1.4 million.  BUT HE SPENT 25 MINUTES WITH THE GENERAL !  I think McChrystal would have rather had the troops.

By the time they were both settled in, posed for the paparazzi, got drinks and were comfortable after making some small talk, they had what, about two minutes to talk about serious matters?

Yeah. but you can no longer say he hasn't bothered to meet with the general for several months.

Boy would I like to coat Obamas' buttplug with Superglue and sand.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
