Regarding Michelle Bachmann. Do you have to be sane to be in congress?

For anyone who's been paying attention over the past year or so, Michelle Bachmann may well be mentally unfit to serve in congress.

Terms such as "sane" and "insane" seem to be outdated. But as far as I know, the terms, "rational" and "irrational" still have meaning.

So let's take a look at Michelle Bachmann. From everything I've seen of this woman, she's (pardon the expression) nuts.

I really don't care what terms are "in" or "out." This is a woman who really
should have a net dropped over her (for the protection of the rest of us) and then placed in a padded room to protect her from herself.

And if you want to know the real problem here, it's that no lock-stepping Republican would dare say anything about this woman's delusions or public statements, most of which border on the mentally disturbed.

So have I gone overboard on this woman who many people from Minnesota were deluded enough to vote for? What do you think?

Oh, I dunno.

1. Bob Dornan and Jim Traficant were mentally ill too

And they hung around forever.

franksolich thought Bob Dornan was great; it's too bad he got ousted by a corrupt political machine that created "votes" out of thin air, some years ago.

3. Dems and Reps must have different definitions of the word "sane."

Yeah, they do.

Republicans use the clinical scientific definition of the word.

8. WTF is up with Traficant's hair?

He was on Hardball the other week and JHC!! that rug was funkier than an old batch of collard greens. He was still spouting about how he was set up and about the conspiracy to get him. His frickin hair is plotting against him.

James Traficant was (is) a (D), by the way.

5. Michelle Bachmann is NOT crazy. She just knows that her base is.

If she were REALLY crazy, she'd be pushing to repeal The Patriot Act so Obama can't use it to take your guns.

But she knows none of what she says is true.

6. Being nuts is a Republican prerequisite, I think.

Oh, I dunno.

That Harold Dean, or Dean Howard, guy didn't appear to be exactly sane the night of the Iowa caucuses in 2004.

7. In America, we don't discriminate against the crazy or the stupid.

Is this a great country or what?

9. Virginia Foxx, Steve King, Inhofe, are they sane? I think the answer is a hearty 'no'.

The loutish Brit primitive also comments, but never mind.

Unfortunately, that is just how we ended up with the current resident in the White House.

If they were throwing out the insane from Congress, Dennis Kucinich would be the first one off the plank.

BTW, I love how the DUmmies hate Michelle Bachmann.  I know virtually little about her, but just the fact that she sticks in their craw make me happy. :evillaugh:
