Some little boy will be in a buttload of trouble tomorrow
« on: September 30, 2009, 06:32:18 PM »
At the supper table tonight, my 1st-grader told us about how a boy on the bus coming home had a knife and cut her very nice, very expensive sweater from Kohl's.  She showed us the two holes.  She also said he was saying something about killing people.  She and I will be talking to the principal tomorrow.

Oh crap! How old is this little bastard who did this? Your poor little girl, I am so sorry. There needs to be more supervision on school buses.

Don't settle for anything short of that little turd kicked off the bus.  School's like to start off all nice and "let's support little Jonny" F--- that.

So, what happened? Is the little jerk kicked off the bus and hopefully in some kind of therapy?

Holy Crap!!!

<<<<hugs>>>> for your daughter, Jinx.

and prayers for the little boy.

How incredibly sad that a child even thinks that way. Have to wonder about the kid's psyche and what his home life is like..... :(

In this case, I think he's referring to current, card-carrying DUmbass teachers/Administrators that overstepped their authority.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Come to find out the Beach Bunnie signed away that one.   :banghead:

No, one of my bunlets was being bullied. I advocated busting the kid in the face but it turned into a small gang thing and I'm not eager to see the boy surrounded and heel-stomped.

So I confronted 1 of the kids at the bus stop Monday.

MSB: You ever touch my boy again I'll haul you in front of the principal; do you understand me?

KID: (smiling) Yeah, ok.

MSB: You will address me as sir.

KID: (smile fading) yes sir.

Well it turns out the largest of the other little bastards grabbed my kid from behind around the neck and told him if he told me about anything he'd kick the boy's ass. The Beach Bunnie convinced me that going to the principal would be far less troublesome than going to the kid's house packing a 10# sledge hammer to teach dad the lesson he should have taught his brat.

So I went to the school. I didn't think abut it at the time but I was in uniform when I went and I was very agitated when I told principal that my father's instincts had me stressing. On the way out I thought, "Oh shit, he probably thinks I have PTSD."

meh...if it works to my advantage.

The next day the principal phoned me to say that he had the 3 worst offenders (no strangers to him) in his office in front of the school cop and they told the boys in no uncertain terms that if there was another report people were being led off in handcuffs.

The boy I confronted made it a point to sit with my son on the bus on the way home last night and they had a friendly conversation. I told my son if he stays friendly it may mean this kid just needs a better crew to hang with and if so he is welcome to visit our home.

Still, I'm re-wrapping the handle on the sledge...just in case.

Confront it head-on Jinx...such is the way of the world.

Sorry.  Our internet went out yesterday, so I couldn't update.  Here's the latest.

The boy who did this to my daughter has been kicked off the bus for the rest of the year.  He will also face other consequences from the school for having the knife there.  (The buses and schools are separate entities here.)

Additionally, we found out that there were 3 or 4 other boys who also had been reported as having knives.  It sounds like they are all Hispanic and may have gotten them from a middle schooler.  This made us wonder if all this stems from a recent stabbing incident here involving a Hispanic gang member.  Perhaps he's become a hero among the Hispanic population.  I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Anyway, the police are involved, too, if that's any indication of how serious this situation is.  It's going to be a long school year.

The school interviewed my daughter and she told them the story of what happened to her.  She was praised for her bravery in letting adults know what was going on.  I'm very proud of her.

Oh, gosh.  I forgot one really scary part.  Apparently, another boy had cut or poked the shirt of another girl and had left scratches on her skin from the knife!

Shades of the past as a school bus driver.

It was the elementary kids that were the worse acting.

Driving the little kids to school one day an 8 year old boy stabbed a class mate, a girl with a pencil just below her eye.

Sweet Jesus this boy weighed 140 lbs. me 105.   Nothing in training had taught us how to handle an assult problem.

I had no choice but to keep moving to the school, we had no radios or cameras aboard, I did not even have a first aid kit.

This was 1985 in a big city ghetto.  Soon as the kids exited the bus I took the injured child to the principals office and guess what, everyone ignored us.  When I finally got someones attention I was told the school nurse would not be in until 9 am.   I had to use a pay phone to call my dispatcher and relate my problem and they told me to bring the bus back as this was not my problem.  I had to walk away from a child who had been stabbed in a place where she was being ignored.

Come Monday the same evil little pecker neck was back on my bus as was the little girl with a big bandage under her eye.

WTF, I don't even want to get into what happened when a 15 year old girl had an over dose on my highschool run.  UNBELIEVABLE how the schools treat the kids in distress..
