Why does Baucus still chair a committee in the Democratic Party?

It isn't something that the people elected him to...and with power comes privilege..he needs to be exactly what he was elected. ONE voice in a sea of 50 voices with his agenda being extended to the ONE vote he was given.

WHY THE **** hasn't he been stripped of his committee assignment and the position given to a REAL Democrat?

I dunno.  I suspect most Democrats consider Montana Max a real Democrat, with impressive credentials and credibility as a real Democrat.

2. Email Reid to remove Baucus

He isn't a Democrat.

Those that weren't convinced before, should be now.

See franksolich's comment, above.

7. Where in the Constitution does it state that these worthless ****s are deserving of seniority perks?

Just because the people in Wyoming keep sending this worthless piece of **** ooze back every term doesn't mean WE should be saddled with his incompetency.

franksolich feels the same way about Patrick "Joe McCarthy" Leahy of Vermont.

8. Montana, but I hear you...

It is long standing tradition dating back to the 1800's. It could be changed in a heartbeat if they wanted, but they dont.

6. Harry Reid is a piece of sh*t. He should have pulled Baucus the moment he set up a 6 person sub-committee with equal Dems and Repukes.

10. Reid and Baucus are both in reelection trouble

Montana Max just took care of any problems he had, with re-election.

11. He chairs a committee in the United States Senate, not the Democratic Party.

Want to strip him of a committee assignment mid-session?

I hope you have 60 votes for cloture on a new organizing resolution, do you?

Bwa bwa bwa.

He was elected by the citizens of Montana.  Who are you to speak for them as though you know why they elected him?  Shut up.  You deserve to be slapped until you can't see straight.

BTW dimwit, his voice is one in a sea of 100 and he does only get one vote.

It's clear the primitives want all members of Congress to be as they are.  A complete impossibility, but to them it's exactly as it should be.  What they fail to realize is that they're idiots and their viewpoints are the exact opposite of what the Founding Fathers had in mind when the Constitution was written.  It's also beyond their grasp that the country is composed of 50 separate states who choose their Senators to represent their states and their House members to represent their districts.  Their view is that all Congressmen and women should disavow those who elected them and do what (the primitives believe to be) the majority of the country wants as a whole.  You have to be a special type of immature idiot to hold that viewpoint.  Ergo, the primitives.

Why would anyone think of Wyoming, ever??

That reminds me of a cartoon whereone character convinces the other that Wyoming does not exist. Animaniacs?

I suspect most Montanans do not realize Montana Max is an American socialist, whose "moderate"
approach to socialized medicine may destroy one aspect of American society that is superior to
its counterparts anywhere else in the world.

The fact that he's drawn the scorn of his party's Stalinist wing makes him no less a socialist who,
given freer rein, would happily destroy our way of life. That's just what a democrat does.

I loved that cartoon! One of the best to come down the pike! Amazing Spielberg was the producer. It certainly wasn't liberal. He's a dyeed in the wool socialist.
