Hmm...  I sense an unspoken detail of exactly who this law is targeting.  Clue: cockfighting isn't big in American society, but it's quite popular south of here.

Funny you post this. I can hear a rooster at about 5:30-6:00 am every morning.  It is faint but it makes me mad for some reason.  I'm awake by this time anyway so I don't know why it makes me mad.

Um, because you're in the middle of freakin Orange County and there hasn't been a farm in that part of CA since the end of WWII?  Wow--you live closer to Commonwealth Ave. than I thought, hon.

Yeah, there are still a few farms and farming businesses in OC, but not nearly as prevalent as they once were.  However, I've always liked shopping that the OC Marketplace on the weekends.  It's in Costa Mesa at the end of the 55 Freeway (OC Fairgrounds).  Parking and admission are cheap, and there's literally TONS of stuff there.
