Economic recovery with continued job losses?

I would really like to understand how our economy can lose jobs every month--as indicated by the
labor statistics--but be in an "economic recovery".

If the unemployment rate continues to climb--and it expected to hit 10 percent at the end of '09--how
can this possibly be a recovery?

Furthermore, housing foreclosures continue to happen at higher-than-average rates. Many ARMs will
reset in 2009, 2010 and 2011--causing many more people to lose their homes.

Seventy percent of the U.S. economy is consumer spending. The consumer rules. More than 10 percent
of these consumers will be unemployed at the end of 2009. Many that aren't unemployed are scared of
losing their jobs and they have reigned in spending.

I'm just not understanding what is fueling real recovery. And aren't most economic indicators (GDP, GNP,
consumer spending, housing starts) directly tied to the level of employment.

I'm also not understanding how this "recovery" is being measured.

How dare you question Obama you racist? If he says the economy is recovering you better believe him or you must be wearing white sheets and burning crosses.

The good news is all those folks losing jobs will be forced to buy health insurance or pay fines.

I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Only if it blows its horn at them, as they stand inside the tracks . . .

The technical definition of recession and recovery isn't dependent on unemployment, although unemployment is indirectly affected.

But it's all immaterial to DUmmies. They were just as miserable at the peak of the booming Bush economy.

If your life revolves around public handouts, it's hard to distinguish between a Bush boom and a jug-eared recession.

Don't these DUmmies understand anything about Obamanomics?

It's really easy.

1. Kill off jobs.
2. Provide unemployment benefits.
3. Keep extending those benefits.

We had the first evidence that the Federal Government (executive and legislative branches together) were willing collaborating/conspiring to mickey the economic books toward their own ends under the able administration of The Impeached One, as the coach refers to him.  We saw more evidence of it under the BFEE, if only because the Democrat Party Propaganda Organs were so anxious to call into question the economic numbers under *'s reign.  And so now, after nearly 16 years of no public furor over economic figures monkeyed with to the point of damned near meaninglessness by our government, we have someone - to be sure, it's 536 someones - who has to my knowledge never made an honest dime in his life, spewing complete and utter fabricated bullshit with regards to the metrics of this nation's economy, because he knows that his sheeple will drown out anybody that questions those figures with their orchestrated bleat of "RACISM!!!!"

What a ****ed up way to run a Republic.
