Half the country is deaf.

Here is how I found it.

My mom is a news junkie, she in order to life a frugal life at 86 has expenses pared down to minimum.

Her cable news is on 24/7 with the cheapest cable cable package she can get.   She has perhaps 4 news stations and local news.

So when I ask her about her views about Acorn, and all that is going on she has no idea what I am talking about.

She like millions of others that do not have FOX News have no idea what is going on.

She will have to pay extra to get Fox and get news that is not government slanted.  There are people that cannot afford to up the cable price, to get Fox so they are politically asleep.

If Fox can get placed in the cheapest cable offering, I believe that there will be million of people that wake up and say " what the Hell"

As long as Fox is part of an expensive package for cable, those that need to to know what is going on will be----as they are now, looking at us that have the package and asking us if we are insane.    We have NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN,     WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT.?

We have millions that trust the news and the papers, they read and feel informed until someone comes along and asks what they think about a news item and they are totally in the dark.

Mom listens on the radio  to that Savage guy and thinks he and Rush and Beck are all loonies tunes But then as well informed as she is she had to ask me just what ACORN was.

BTW didn't I see back a few months ago that ACORN had changed its name to something else----Got to check on that.

I was talking to a buddy of mine who lives outside of Denver, in Superior the other day.  I brought up Joe Wilson on an aside.  She was like "Who is Joe Wilson?"  I explained a little and then asked "DO YOU EVEN WATCH THE NEWS?"  She said no, she had been busy.  So I replied "I KNOW you get the paper on the weekend (for coupons), WTF?"  She said there wasn't anything in there.  Now I know alot of Denver is pretty durn liberal, but I just don't buy that it couldn't be in the paper.  Could that be true?
